iRACING BETA INTERFACE - (03.04.01)


Go Racing


- Performance and response times for the entire Go Racing section of the iRacing BETA Interface has been improved!

- For Team Official Series, additional information has been added to the Series window.

- Fixed an issue with sorting items for Official Series.


AI Racing

- Fixed an issue when using "All Cars in Single Class" AI Opponent Rosters where users were not being included in the same car class as the AI Drivers if the user had run a previous AI Race using a "Use Car Classes" AI Opponent Roster.


Teams

- The default minimum and maximum Driver counts for Team User-Created Races has been set to two and eight respectively.

- Team application banners will now only be shown if the Team is recruiting.

- Fixed an issue where Team Registration could sometimes create multiple Teams.


Leagues

- Fixed an issue with sorting items for Leagues.


Friends

- The interface now responds immediately when you make a friend a Favorite.


Miscellaneous

- Error handling for Registration has been improved.

- Fixed an issue where the Car selection window could sometimes get stuck open.

AI Racing

- AI Drivers will now limp to the pits rather than calling for a tow when a suspension spring or damper is broken.


Race Control

- Fixed a very rare issue where the pace car could get stuck in the pits, and never come back out, if a new caution emerged just as it was parking.


Pit Stop

- The valid pit stall area to receive pit service has been increased slightly.


Cautions

- Fixed an issue with Caution Laps do Not Count (DNC Caution Laps) where a driver involved in bringing out the Caution flag could end up a lap ahead of where they should be after going back to green.

- Fixed an issue where a potential frame freeze could occur when the messages about extending the race for G/W/C finishes appeared.


Garage

- When in a Test Session, the adjustment buttons for Weight and Engine Power may now be held down for faster adjusting.


Pace Car

- Fixed some issues with the pace car driver's perception of reality.
- - The pace car driver should no longer phase through walls when leaving the pits to catch up to the leader.
- - The pace car driver should no longer fly off banked turns and disappear into the nether world for a while, when it was trying to zoom out in front of the leader for pacing.


Rendering

- The intensity of specular reflections from stadium lights has been increased.
- - This means car surfaces now reflect brighter versions of the stadium light bulbs, and the bulb surfaces are also brighter when looked at directly on HDR displays.

- Fixed an issue with the stadium lighting that was resulting in lighting pops.


Dynamic Level of Detail System

- Fixed an issue where the "LODPctMax" and "LODPctDynoMax" values would sometimes reset themselves to 100% after running the Simulator.


Audio

- Fixed an issue where low frequency effects could cease to function when moving from a Practice Session directly to a Race Session.

- Fixed an issue where low frequency sounds were sometimes mapped to the wrong speakers when the Simulation was utilizing surround sound mode.


Peripherals

- Brake, wheel, and XBox rumble motors are now driven with an analog signal.
- - You can revert back to the binary on/off signal via the "[Force Feedback] joyEnableVibratePedalBinary=1" option, found in the "app.ini" file.

- By default, XInput devices will now only vibrate if mapped to the steering wheel.
- - You can enable all XInput devices to vibrate by setting "[Force Feedback] joyEnableVibrateAllXInputWithPedal=1" in the "app.ini" file, if you want to use an XBox controller to vibrate your pedals.

- Fixed an issue that caused the XBox controller shaker to be disabled if the wheel shift indicator was disabled.

ARCA Menards Chevrolet Impala


- This car, formerly known as, NASCAR K&N Pro Chevrolet Impala, has been renamed to the ARCA Menards Chevrolet Impala.


Audi R8 LMS

- 2020 Season 2 Balance of Power Adjustment: Aerodynamic downforce has been reduced slightly, and fuel efficiency has been reduced slightly.


BMW M8 GTE

- A new fixed Paint Pattern has been added for this vehicle in the Paint Shop!
- - This new fixed Paint Pattern replaces Paint Pattern #2; the original Paint Pattern #2 has been moved to Paint Pattern #25.


Dallara F3

- Fixed an issue where this car would fail to load when in a multiclass session with cars that were not utilizing the New Damage Model.

- Spring damper strength and break-point has been increased on opponent cars to better match the player car.
- - This change also applies to AI Dallara F3 vehicles.


Dallara IR18

- The new aeroscreen has been added to the Dallara IR18.
- - Paint patterns have been updated to reflect this addition.
- - Visor tear-offs have been replaced with windshield tear-offs for drivers of this vehicle.

- Vehicle mirror orientation has been updated slightly.

- Season setups have been updated.


Dirt Sprint Car

- (410) - Fuel economy has been improved slightly.


Ferrari 488 GT3

- 2020 Season 2 Balance of Power Adjustment: Fuel efficiency has been increased slightly.


Ferrari 488 GTE

- 2020 Season 2 Balance of Power Adjustment: Aerodynamic drag has been decreased slightly, and aerodynamic downforce has been increased slightly.


Ford GT - 2017

- 2020 Season 2 Balance of Power Adjustment: Minimum weight has been reduced by 5kg.


Kia Optima

- Glass shaders have been updated.


McLaren MP4-12C GT3

- 2020 Season 2 Balance of Power Adjustment: Engine power has been reduced slightly.


NASCAR Cup Chevrolet Camaro ZL1

- Car model is now updated to the correct 2020 NASCAR Season specs for short tracks, including the adjustments to the rear spoiler, front splitter, and radiator pan.

- Contingency decals have been updated for the 2020 NASCAR season.

- A dashboard decal has been added which displays the driver's last name and number.

- Glass has been placed over the digital dashboard display.

- Season setups have been updated.


NASCAR Cup Ford Mustang

- ABS/TC dashboard lamp logic has been improved.

- Fixed an issue where this vehicle would be gridded ahead of GT3 class vehicles during multi-class events.

- Fixed an issue where the "dcBrakeBias" telemetry channel was not reflecting in-car brake bias adjustments.

- Fixed a typo in the garage tooltips.

- Tire warmers target temperature has been increased to 80 degrees Celsius.

- - A new track configuration, Single Pit Road, has been added to this track!
- - - The Single Pit Road track configuration features a single pit road design, where pit entry occurs on the apron of Turn 2.

- Track surface parameters have been adjusted slightly.

- New specular and normal maps have been added to some areas of track surface.

- Track surface shaders have been adjusted.

- Pit barrels have been updated to a new higher detail version.

- Some signs and advertisements has been updated.


Homestead Miami Speedway

Lånkebanen (Hell RX)

- NEW TRACK CONFIGURATIONS!
- - Lånkebanen (Hell RX) now features FOUR additional track configurations!
- - These include two new Rallycross configs, and two new Road configs: Club, Rallycross Short, Road Short, and Road Long.

- (Hell Rallycross) - Fixed a course-cut at the bottom hairpin turn.


Phoenix Raceway

- This track, formerly known as, ISM Raceway, has been renamed to Phoenix Raceway.


Richmond Raceway

- Pit barrels have been updated to a new higher detail version.


Texas Motor Speedway

- Night mode has been completed for this track!
- - All lighting, shadows, and other objects have been fine-tuned for an ideal night racing experience!

- Various track-side decals have been updated.

- Crowds and grandstands have been adjusted slightly.

- Some advertisements have been updated.

- Adjusted Level of Detail (LoD) settings on a variety of objects to reduce camera distance change popping.
