F1 2011 Save file bug "Program will be closed" etc

Guys, is there some way to cure this stupid thing? I'm having this like every day and my recent setups are regularly wiped out, annoying me like crazy.

I struggled with savefile problems for a while, here is what I know:

- use the flow.bin from the original game (v1.0) here (goes in the system folder)

- disable autosave (but don't forget to save before you exit the game!)

- sometimes a modded database.bin can interfere with your save

- modding the frontend/b_nonpersistent.pssg file can cause the game to become unstable when loading the main menu. I was getting crashes after finishing a race or choosing "Quit to Main Menu" from the pause menu. The problem was I had edited the b_nonpersistent.pssg for the custom helmets pack. If you are using that mod then download the latest version, I updated it a while back with a b_nonpersistent.pssg that works properly.
