Was not very fast with those cars but the secret was to keep it between the walls to be able to join the finish line.
I made too many laps with damage suspension and batteling with the car, after my pit stop a full repairs i was down to my usual lap time but was way too late to catch up.
Anyway finished 3rd out of 4 finisher. I didn't expect much better.

I had not had a chance to race in several weeks, so it was interesting to run a new track and an unfamiliar car. Took me every bit of practice/qual to get comfortable with the car.

Qual: Put together a reasonably fast lap near the end of the session to sit P5.

Race: Had a poor start and Pierre took advantage to put me in P6 before first corner. He made a small mistake and I was able to reclaim the position before too long. Stayed with the lead pack and was trying to chase down Yves. Some guys dropped off or out and I found myself in P3 chasing the leaders. They were consistently pulling away so I settled in at P3 for a stretch. Things were going well until about mid-race (when I planned to pit anyway). I had a spin which allowed P4/P5 to catch me. Then I got loose on the lap before I wanted to pit and smacked the wall, so I limped into the pits and figured I would take my fuel/tires and fix the suspension. Well I mixed up my presets and only fixed the suspension, so I had to pit on the next lap to take fuel/tires. Lost too much time to compete with the 3 remaining cars, but tried hard to catch Pierre (got it down to 6-7 sec by the end).

Looking forward to racing this track with the touring cars on Fri.

Tell your wife that you are going to be involved in some high stakes racing with some of the best drivers around the world, and that you are needed to represent your country. She will understand, and probably ask how she can help :)

Ok maybe it wont go like that but check out the announcement.
