Btw. You need to enter you name in your account profile.
Click on your name on the top right of the forum, choose "account details" and enter you name in "custom title". That way we know who you are when you join the server. This is mandatory.
Also. The custom title is not scraped by google or other search engines, so you won't show up on a google search by having your name there

Edit: I have verified my rF2 installation and it says it's all as it should be. But the problem persists.

Got it sorted somehow, just switched back and forth with rF2 versions found under the Beta-tab in Steam!

I had this problem yesterday. I started single player, then killed the task in the task manager. Suddenly it worked.
I guess it should be reported as a bug to S397.
