My only gripe from tonights race is with myself, for not practising pitting, especially when I knew I needed to. Considering I pitted about 5 times, the car started everytime.
Didn't practise enough, so 2.07.7 was about all I could expect.
Warmup lap went ok. nearly got caught out once though.
About lap 2 I spun through the fast left/right switch, and only just avoided Cam. After that was in 2nd last place and fought my way back up to 10th before pitting, and in the space of 1 lap tyres went from rubber to jelly.
Had I gotten pitting right I might have had a fairly good finish, but concentration went away whilst I was trying to figure out how to make it work.
Near the end I was significantly faster than Cam and David who were in front, but had to sit behind or suffer the wrath of race control warnings.
Overall I had fun and will be better prepared next time, hopefully we can do this again soon.

i always use auto stop in places where it works. only normally dont use it if i have an early garage or tracks like cadwell where it never seems to work. dont know what happened here. when it happened at albi i didnt stop at all it was when the otheres where stopping and the timeing boards got screwed up that it gets me.

grats to the guys that finished.

Qualy: Thought went ok, did a 2:08.891, had not been much faster before. So was suprise when this gave me only 19th pos and seeing all the other times!

Race: Christian in front of me obviouly forgot about the formation lap *lol*, but nothing serious happened I guess. At the end of the formation lap Andrew helped me a little bit around the corner (no worries, Cam was anyway to fast for me today :)). Did some mistakes in the beginning, but the gang behind me, was so kind to do the same. In lap 7 Nigel Roberts spun in T1 and was in my neck afterwards (till he spun again), in the fast chicane Steve P had parked his car puting me on 17. Again Andrew behind me, playing with me the game who does more mistakes (no clear winner though). The cars in front of me were changing as well. At some point Steve was behind me, not doing me the favour to do as many mistakes as I did, so he got me when I went to the gravel slightly.
In lap 10 the gang in front of me came into sight. Cam dropped of in lap 11 (but my tyres started becoming bad...). In lap 13 Neil Gardner, I went again to the gravel, this time Andrew was not following (hey, THAT was not fair, not the tap in lap 1 :D). Anyway, was the lap I schedule my first pit stop. But got him before the entry to the pit .). Was actually then fighting my new tyres, did not know how to handle the new feeling. In my lap 21 I had Richard Hamstead in front of me, who seemed to be on a 1 stop strategy, he was 1 lap in front, but he was holding me (I on nearly good tyres and he on disastrous tyres I guess), but there was no way i could change that, fortunately he went to pit that lap.
Lap 26 (I was doing a lonely race at that time) my second pit stop (was actually on 9 at that time). Came out on 13 (actually for me both pit stops went as planed, but was having many problems in the past, but mainly because I always got stop & gos, was on auto pit and did not touch anything until i was out of the pit lane). Lap 27 was actually my new PB (2:08.127 obviously I should have practiced more before, not in race :) ). Had a lonely race from then on, saw only people lapping me. I just did by far to many mistakes. In clean laps I saw the gap to Andrew in front of me shrinking, but he was obviously running more stable. Finished 12, not to bad I guess.

Was lot of fun, not a perfect race for me, but ok. Gues I would not have survived a 1 stop race. At the end I lost little bit concentration and my finger from the paddle shifter were unhappy :). Last lap was very bad, am glad I managed to finish the race!

See you all soon! Am not sure whether I will be able to participate in the near future on these events! Have fun and merry Christmas (in case I will not participate)!

Important: Please pay special attention to Racedepartment's Golden Rule: If you hit another driver and disadvantage him, we expect you stop and let the other driver regain his position on you. If this costs you many places (eg first few laps) then consider this a penalty for your driving infringement. Doing this shows respect to your fellow drivers and will encourage drivers to be more careful. Please use some care when letting the other driver regain position, do not immediately stop your car on the driving line where it can cause further accidents. Not following this rule will result in your membership of the racing club being terminated at once!
