A friend i got to join the beta got an email two days ago but i haven't yet. James sobs in corner of room...

Maybe its in the spam folder.
I didn't get my key, so I did a new sign up with a differrent mail adress and got a key after 5 min.

I fear that if people don't start reading the contracts they sign on and post videos/screenshots here and there we all will end up losing our beta access to the game.

I was just wondering if some signups do not go through or get selected for one reason or another, as some ppl seemed to get their key quite quickly. That or I did a mistake in my email or something.

they're probably going on pc specs as you have to submit dxdiag's which tbh isnt really fair my pc isnt the best spec but runs the teaser perfectly

mine is pretty high end + triples and i was overlooked for someone with only medium specs and a 1680x1050 monitor, so not sure what they are going on, it could even be alphabetical order for all we know!

I would guess that's its a multitude of things which decides. PC specs are for sure one thing, but it's not about having the monster computer to get into betas. They will want a wide range of different hardware to test on so they can catch as many hardware and driver related bugs as possible before going gold.
Btw if they where going on alphabet and surname, you'd be waiting for a bit James Woods

Ok, maybe they send out keys in random batches then to divide the load a bit.

Can't imagine they leave out people because of inferior PC configuration as was suggested above. On the contrary i'd say as especially in the beta phase its important a game can run decent on as many different pc's as possible.
