Rosberg & Schumacher sign new Mercedes contracts

Both Michael Schumacher and Nico Rosbergs have extended their contracts with Mercedes.

Not that anyone really believed the rumours that Rosberg was going to Ferrari in 2012, but the rumours are now officially dead.

Nico Rosberg has signed a new deal with Mercedes until at least the end of 2013, with a rumoured option year in 2014.

Scumacher's deal was supposed to run out at the end of 2012, but he has signed a one-year extension that will see him race in 2013 as well.

I like the fact that Schumi is sticking around. After all his talk about bailing out after 2010, I didn't expect to see him at the end of 2011, let alone 2012 or 2013.

I just watched Michael say in an interview that he's not ready to decide about 2013 yet and has not signed any contract and that now is not the time, as of today.

Not surprised about Rosberg though, hope Merc have a better car next year.
