Miuras Break Recent Bad Stint, GT90’s & Isettas Take Strides In The Right Directions

Coming off of bad recent form the Miuras snap their 3 game winless streak with a win against the P45’s, putting in 3 goals to the P45’s 1. The Isettas shutdown the Corvettes scoring a dominant 4, the Corvettes managed to get in the 1. GT90’s are victorious against the I-Thrusts making it 2 wins in a row for the Ford team.

Another notable match was the Commodores vs Almeras, Commodores win the match and still remain undefeated!

Commodores Suffer First Loss, Minis Celebrate First Win​

For some teams game 8 was what they ultimitaly needed, whilst for others it would be one to forget. The Commodores who have riddled the headlines this season with their great start to the season and avoiding any losses found themselves in an unfamiliar position. With both teams coming off a win in their previous game it was 50/50 between the AMG GT’s and Commodores, the AMG GT’s managed to put a stop to the Commodores reign, leaving them goal less.

The Leyland Minis finally get their much needed first win in the season, winning 2-1 against the P45’s, it was a big wait but one the Minis hope they don’t experience again.

The Ford GT90’s won by default against the La Ferraris, which helps their season Campaign, making it three wins in a row.

The Almeras got their first win in five games against the 911 Turbos, a very close matchup that was decided by the fifth and final choice.

Fight For Division Top Spots Ignite

With the two top teams of both divisions losing their games, the opposing sides of each division now see the number 1 position in their grasp. The La Ferraris gaining 0 points this game sees the rest of the catback division gain on them with four teams with 17 points, it may be possible we see a new king of the division. Same story for the Caliper Division with the Holden Commodores losing their first game and getting 1 point recent success from the Meganes and AMG GT’s teams mean that only 1 point seperates 1st from 2nd & 3rd.

La Ferraris, Commodores Face Loss Of Division Crowns​

Two very interesting and tense matchups for the Catback division, as the top four teams all have important games that will see a shift in the top half of the standings. The La Ferraris face off against the Saab 9000’s, and the Miuras verse the BMW Isettas, the only way the standings wont shift in the top half is if both games end in draws. With that being said, 5th placed GT90’s, if they were to win a 4th consecutive game against the 911 Turbos, they could climb the four positions ahead of them and be the new King of the Catbacks!

Renault will look to continue their recent success and build their streak up to four as they face the Corvettes in an attempt to catch the Commodores. The Commodores play the P45’s and will hope they can get back to their winning selves, or will this loss hurt them even further?

Meganes Shutdown Corvettes, GT90's Continue Strong Run

Meganes make some great picks and shutout the American Corvettes, The Ferraris take 3 points and 3 goals against the 9000's who didn't show up. Ford GT90's continue their strong run, shutting out the 911 turbos! Leyland have nothing to give the stronger Mercedes side, same story for P45's against the Aussie Commodores. Isettas defeat Miuras with two early goals in the matchup.

Big Moves In Catback, Caliper Movement Static

​

One of the big stories coming from game 9 is the last 5 games of the GT90's, just 4 games ago they were at the bottom of the Catback Division, but with four consecutive wins on their plate they're now up there sitting in 3rd!! The Miuras suffer from their loss and sit below the playoff belt!

The Caliper Division remains frozen with no movement at all, with the points being slightly more spread out over the table, however there are still plenty more games in the season to see the teams at the bottom rise up and cause an upset.

Last Game Before Mid-Season Break

​

The Saab 9000's will look to bounce back from their 0 point game 9 result, however with the Isettas strong in their last five, it will be a tough one. Ford GT90's and Renault Meganes have a chance to be the first team to reach a five game win streak!

Game 10 will be the last game before the mid-season break, where players can vote to shape the second half of the RPS Season 21.
