Richmotech G27 load cell mod, any good?

I've been sim racing on a budget since I started because I simply don't have room or money for a multi billion dollar setup.

Either way, from what I've read, a load cell break is a real game changer and richmotech are selling a mod for the G27 for a fair price.

What's peoples opinions on the mod?
Can the G27 pedal base handle the added forces?
Is it socks friendly or are shoes a must have?

Are there any other/better options out there at that price range?

Usually load cell brakes are stiffer , so much that shoes are needed. You'll see how it goes. But you need to have them hard mounted. No old good carpet will suffice. If they are mounted on a rig the pedal base doesn't have any problem. Go for it. You can even biuld it yourself if you're on a budget and have the skills..

I never relied on a carpet for the pedals. Instead I've mounted them on a sheet of plywood and put it against the wall under the desk. I think that should be more than enough for a 30kg load cell.

Already order the part so I guess time will tell :)

Pricey and hard to install. It worked great though once you used to brick solid pedal and braking by pressure instead of travel. You can calibrate in DIView to lower pressure if you prefer in socks driving.
