This track is released under a Creative Commons license, so you are allowed to:

  • share: distribute, copy, trasmit the track, race on-line
  • change: modify/adapt/improve the track and publish your adaptation. This includes exporting the track for any game BTB supports.
No need to ask for permission for the above actions.

Only restrictions are that no commercial use is allowed and you are kindly asked to include in the documentation a link to the original track.

Climb to the Pikes Peak. You can find the description of how it was built on this page (the how-to is a work in progress):

http://zaxxon.host22.com/

Changes in last version (v1.22):

  • Transparent wall has been changed because it was visible in some PCs (with Vista I think)
  • Both terrain and road have been split in several parts, so now editing the track is quicker (I would say now it is possible).
Version 1.22 has no other differences with version 1.21.

Nevertheless version 1.22 exported for RBR can also be downloaded from
http://www.mediafire.com/file/hz1ynndnhf4/RBR_PikesPeak122.rar

  • Trees added
  • Terrain inside some hairpins refined
  • Texture of terrain near the road in the second part of the track has been slightly changed. Now it is not so green.
"Great Britain (RBR)" XPack is needed
DOWNLOAD FROM HERE IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT. Put this XPack inside the
Xpacks subfolder of the PikesPeak121 project folder.

NOTE: 10000 trees have been added. It is ok for my PC/graphics card, but if you want less trees you can remove them or just use the list of objects of the version 1.20 (in the Venue.xml just remove the 1.21 list and include instead the 1.20 list)

Version 1.21 exported for RBR can be downloaded from:

CREDITS:
- Higher mountain's textures are a modification of Punkt's Hi-Res textures:

- Trees's textures are from RBR, except one tree that is a free sample from Marlin Studios

  • Completely new terrain
  • New road. Both altitude and position are new

  • Position of the first half of the road has been slightly changed to better fit the mountains. Position data from Google Earth is not reliable for this part of the road.

  • Road is smoother in the hairpins
  • New vegetation
  • The are more tree's types, and new bushes
  • Vegetation reaches higher altitude, matching videos and satellite info.
  • Vegetation components change with altitude, as they do in the real track
  • New 3D object: a house
  • Starting and finishing parts of the track have been changed
  • Road's texture changes
  • New mountain's texture
"Great Britain (RBR)" XPack is needed
DOWNLOAD FROM HERE IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT. Put this XPack inside the
Xpacks subfolder of the PikesPeak120 project folder.

--------------------------------------------------------------------
CLICK HERE to download version 1.15:
- "New" textures for mountain, road and vegetation
- Minor changes in terrain elevation (just a couple of nodes)
- New grass
- 3D Objects and spectators added (you need "Great Britain (RBR)" XPack
DOWNLOAD FROM HERE IF YOU DON'T HAVE IT. Put this XPack inside the
Xpacks subfolder of the PikesPeak115 project folder)

CLICK HERE to download version 1.14:
- Some too dark polygons have been fixed.
- A little zone of the terrain that was too low has been fixed.
- The boundary walls are collideable again (thanks to forum user Kerante :wink2:)
- There are new trees (evergreens, not pines) and bushes.

CLICK HERE to download version 1.13:
-I have shrunk the driveable zone of Terrain. I made this change to reduce the amount of trees needed to fill this zone. In the boundary of this zone there is a tree-wall.
- The mountain has been redefined. Now less area is covered and the resolution is better for approximately the same amount of polygons.
-There are trees and grass. They are provisonal, and will be changed in the future for pines. The vegetation is present only below a specific elevation.
- The physics of the track have been changed.
- Visible and invisible walls are there in the model, but are no longer collisionable. I do not know the reason. I will try to fix it in future releases.

CLICK HERE to download version 1.12d:
-softened mountains
-track elevation slightly modified to better fit the mountain (now it has more ups and downs)
-only 7 nodes define track profile instead of 9
-an invisible wall prevents the car from falling out of the circuit.

Welcome to My Backyard! :car: . (V0.8) lol :)
(targa, rally) FOR RICHARD BURNS RALLY

I originally started this as a 3k track but thought in the words of Jeremy Clarkson
'lets make it, bigger'

and this is what I got!

Now a sprint through several different roads, which are mainly gravel, there is allot more scenery, bridges, a small town and more roads than you can poke a stick at!.

I am using some of the ground textures made by joe wood and converted by Frank 55.
I own rally trophy and am capable of extracting the textures but have used the ones created by Frank 55.

overall I'd say 55% done as I can't stop adding roads Doh!.

Notes on current version.

Intersections are marked with blue directional signs, The low pointer follows the main timed circuit. The upper pointers denote roads that provide an alternate route, shortcut or just fun track!.
The "!" triangle boards mark the 'off rd' style tracks.

I have just started the nth end of the highway, it is linked at the top just no scenery yet.

I'm also creating a 4x4 track, Some where in the middle of this track to test out the buggies and maybe the 'RF 4 wheel drive mods' that are being created.......... keep your eyes open! lol...

Gotta work out some river crossings soon! he he.

So grab ya gps and a cut lunch and

Enjoy all ..........

INSTALL NOTES!!!!!!

I HAVE PACKED THE TEXURES UP INTO A RAR FILE INSIDE THE TEXTURES FOLDER, PLEASE EXTRACT THESE BEFORE INSTALL.
SO, EXTRACT THE TRACK TO A TEMP FOLDER, FIND TEXTURES.RAR IN THE TEXTURES FOLDER, EXTRACT,
COPY RX_CONTENT INTO YOUR BRB FOLDER.

I don't own RBR so I hope this works ok!

On export I got told "Poly's where too big to drive on" so i said yes to halveing poly's, I'm not sure what this has done to the terrain heights etc. so hopefuuly it still looks ok.
There are holes in the scenery as this is very much inprogress, also guardd rails won't catch you, I'm having a problem getting them to work out of btb. (for RF anyway.)

RFactors, GT subaru, historic x, Howston used extensively in this sucker!!!!!

Many Thanks go to Brendon for BTB
Ennisfargis
Chub Pearson
Joe wood / Frank 55
jay_p_666
woodn :for brilliant textures and models .

Exceptional thanks to jay_p_666 for the Great britain Xpack, Brilliant! Thankyou!

Hope I got you all!

Cheers Legends!

Ps. yes this was my 25k scramble track, which is now approx 14k's main loop.
25k's got too scary to develop......

How do I attach pictures!?:)
Do you still have this track, please?
