thats actually only a test calender, it might not be anything near what we end up going with, remember though this is only a test season, and its still not set in stone, we still havent even decided if we will award points at the moment lol, your more than welcome to join in too but priority will be given to prestogp members, same with our choice of car as this could affect our future, although theres nothing to stop you giving your reasoning on what presto should try.

I can only vouch for track nr. 3,4 and 5 atm to actually work in all aspects and also be legal. The other 3 I haven't tried and they are also all conversions.
Allthough Bahrain is actually not finished and was I think accidentaly leaked by the modder back then :D

For selfish reasons, I vote for one of the 2 F1 cars, since I get to race the other 2 already in other places :devilish:

All looks good to me :D

My preference for car right now would be the FR3.5. I'm driving it in another league already, but I like it so much, I want more of it! :p

2nd choice for me would be either the Marussia or the FISI. These two cars are very similar, as I think the FISI was made specifically so the Marussia could race something other than itself. Not really all that much distinction.

The F2 tends to be an awkward choice though. I've seen numerous people complain about the light feel it has from the very shallow (and not adjustable) castor angle. I remember finding this uncomfortable myself during the 30 minutes I've driven it. But, whether I could get used to it, I'm not sure.

Nice videos David
where can we download the above tracks?: I could not find them on this rF2 website http://rfactor.net/web/rf2/rf2dl/

can you please post any of your setups for FSIS , Renault 3.5 and marussia. thx

tips on how to setup game control / display setting would be great .
thx. :)
With my G25 I use 440 to 470 degrees of rotation in open wheelers and usually a FFB multiplier of 2.00 to get a bit heavier steering, becausd e.g. the FISI steering weight is too light for me and a higher multiplier helps with that.
In the F1 cars you might want to use more rotation like 470 or 490 with max. steering lock, because the F1 tyres are a lot more sensetive. On the FISI I like the soft tyres the most, but it is a tough job to get 15 to 20 laps out of them on full distance race fuel.

I'll be busy with work over the next month or so but happy to go with whatever people come up with for this, I think it would be good to listen to people more experienced with rf2 regarding setup and tracks to use etc I think they're knowledge is quite valuable for us to start our test season with rf2 and look forward to the great racing.

ive not put dl links to any tracks so far anthony, we are still a good bit away from finalising anything, enquiries need to be made about legallity of tracks amongst other things, sepang and silverstone are part of the base content so you can try them out.

for the ffb, graphics and stuff ill get a thread started soon that can act as our unofficial goto thread for rf2 settings

p.s rd has a selection of tracks to download right here too

Seems like a good way to plug my own vids :D

I don't have a good recent one with the F2 though

FISI

Marussia F1

FR 3.5

Btw you should keep in mind that with the F1 cars, on some tracks like Silverstone, you have DRS zones working throughout the race with the same conditions like F1, i.e. you have to be in 1sec to the guy in front of you before the zone starts.

But on most tracks you don't have drs zones and can just open your rearwing whenever you want.

so guys, the calender that id put up as a first draft may be possible to use, but i may need some help in testing the tracks out, heres a list of tracks and download links.....

Istanbull - http://www.racedepartment.com/forum/resources/istanbul-park.215/
Melbourne - http://www.racedepartment.com/forum/resources/melbourne-gp.391/
Montreal - http://www.racedepartment.com/forum/resources/montreal.261/
Bahrain - http://www.racedepartment.com/forum/resources/bahrain.1374/
Silverstone - ISI Track
Malaysia - ISI Track

we'd need to have a look at 3 of them, istanbull, melbourne and montreal. Bahrain is being used in the V-WSR league very soon that myself and sean, april and dino will hopefully participate in so that should be well tested before we use it.

if anyones planning on having some practise on rf2 anytime soon try and instal the tracks mentioned and see if they look fine, what we would mainly be looking for is that realroad is working on them, and if there are any major bugs that stand right out. I will be testing them very soon too hopefully they are fine, i imagine they are all legal as their available here at rd to download so fingers crossed

p.s thanks for the vids dino :) we all hope to be able to drive like that very soon

I konw that older version of Melbourne had a track cut issue. You got a cut track warning with only two wheels of the track.

Montreal was not that bad as I drove it 8 month ago or so, but I hope Istanbul has improved.

Any decisions regarding the cars?

well guys if all them tracks work out ok we can just go with them so that would take one part of the deciding process out of the equasion, what we need to do then is settle on a car, 4 choices, i'll open a thread for a vote for a limited time to get it done and settled.
