rfactor wont load track/car

just crashes even with vanilla stock v1255 verison.

reinstalled older dx9 and it loaded in once now i cant get it past the menu screen just crashes with no error message once i go to load a track

Whats going on?

Completely stumped googled everything.

Hi, A few things to start with,
i never install games in to Program Files (x86)
i always run all .exe as admin
Have you got say afterburner or something similar running
nothing to do with a antivis program kicking in
also check you virus vault make sure nothing from the sim has been moved in there without you knowing.

fire the sim up in windowed mode and a lower resolution so you can see what going on in the background maybe something pos up that you would not normally see..

You have to add trace=100, or some other numbers, to your shortcut startup. You can do trace=5 too, but I don't know what it means.

"C:\Program Files\rFactor\rFactor.exe" trace=100

I think this gives you the last 100 lines of the log file.

You will find lots of "errors" in the file. Usually in the last few lines will be any that are causing your problems.

Some errors still may not show up. I always run it though, just in case.
