Well, the Gmotor engine screams for the need of decent AA, especially if playing HD on a big screen TV (such as I do). At those settings, even my system (i5 760, 4 gb ram, 460 GTX) has problems with stuttering at max settings on gmotor 2 games.

While those are decent requirements, I'd say that in order to enjoy the full RF2 experience, an up-to-date PC would be necessary, as in current middle-range specs like Intel Core i5 2500, nvidia 560 GTX, 8 gb ram, etc. or AMD equivalent (whatever those are).

Recommended requirements for games in general assure about 60 FPS at medium settings or 30 FPS at max, and that is best-case scenario (look at GTA4 for example, barely playable at min. settings on recommended specs).

Let's hope ISI are more realistic than most developers when it comes to system requirements.

My current rig just about meets the Recommended specs, but my future upgrade will be more than sufficient:good:. Current: Intel Core 2 Duo E6400 Oc'd to 2.93Ghz 4GB DDRII memory, Ati Radeon 4870 512Mb, Win 7 64bit. Soon (hopefully): Intel i5 2500K 8GB DDRIII Graphics upgrade later.

Those are pretty steep video card requirements... almost no one with a laptop will be able to play..

Huh? Even my Mac mini can run it - meets the minimum specs - and that basically has the same hardware as last year's basic MacBook.
Which isn't exactly the biggest powerhouse among notebooks.

(With *this* year's 2,5 GHz dual-core i5 Mac mini - and that's a system that only sips power, at 13W idle and 58W full load - it should run fairly decently, and a mini isn't exactly the most badass bit o'hardware either. Although it's pretty darn powerful for such a small machine these days. )

I think it was half confirmed that the game will utilise DX9.......such a shame as some effects that DX11 can produce are amazing on high end systems. But if it makes the game more stable and more accessible to those with less able systems it will be a good thing.
