rF2: Another Nordschleife Preview - 4 Layouts Confirmed

Studio 397 have released another preview image from the upcoming Nordschleife track release - confirming 4 layouts at launch... with more to follow.

Unless you've been living under a rock for the past 12 months, you are probably aware that Studio 397 have been heavily developing a laserscanned version of the legendary Nurburgring Nordschleife in Germany - and seeing as preview images keep surfacing these last couple of days, it's probably fair to assume we aren't that far away from release.. hopefully.

Interestingly, rather than the heavily criticised caption of 'counting the days' from the last image.. this time we get days replaced with hours... does that mean release date is even closer than we expected?

Also of note, rather than just dropping another image, Studio 397 have also confirmed the track will initially launch with four different configurations.. and plan on adding further layouts further down the line!

On an 120hz display without vsync, 200 fps is on the edge of tearing already. 250+ is completely free of tearing.

Why not just cap frame rate to 120?

Because of tearing without vsync, or noticeable input lag with vsync. Your FPS have to be a good amount over the refresh of the display if you don't want tearing without vsync.

You can cap at 181 fps and use nVidia's Fast sync.

You can't use any of the nVidia vsync options with rF2 AFAIK. It does some weird things when it comes to vsync.

LOL, well, it works on my system with triples (though I'm nowhere close to having 200 fps!).

Edit: I should add that I have Fast sync turned on at the global level and my monitors are fixed vsync rather than G-sync style (adaptive sync).

@Emery Does it? I might need to re-check that, then, but last time I tried (half a year or so?), rF2 completely ignored any nVidia vsync settings and just did its own (strange) things.

So apologies if what I'm saying no longer applies.

A bit of topic but how is VR in rF2 these days? Last time I gave it a run the performance was PC crippling
