Dennis, can you please sign me up? ! ;)

I agree following RD rules anywhere excluding the straights. Btw, there was a time when curbs were so high that no one went over it. I remember an onboard vid from 1986. (Not remembering the driver but it was a Lotus)

Edit: it was Jonny Dumfries

Now that was a fun race! :roflmao: I will post a full review later, but I would like to note a few things. Dennis, thank you much for organizing this awesome event. I have not had this much fun in ages! Also, I feel I was a bit aggressive at times in the race and I apologize if I wronged anyone. :cautious: I do not think I did (except for a few friendly nudges ;)) but if I did, it was not my intention and I am truly sorry.

Great event with a big grid after quite some time (I think Zolder or Macau was the last time we got as many)!

Went onto the server early as I hadn't time to race at all this week, got a slightly modified stock Porto setup going and managed to qualify 5th despite all those presto guys ;)
Fairly good start, managed to stay in P4 (Reik a.k.a. "that other class in this multiclass mini event" had to leave early) but fell back a place or two in L2.
Still managed to hang on to the leading pack and managed to get back to P4 as time (and pit stops) passed. Had a nice battle with Nelson once more up until he fell back in the latter third of the race.
I somewhat gained time on Justin (who pitted early, IIRC), but it was far from enough with only about 6 minutes to go. It wasn't too late to gain a position, though, as Simon, who was leading at the time, hit a kerb and fell back behind the two of us.

Good race everyone, hopefully we'll see bigger grids more often again :)

Surprised to find myself on the 2nd spot after qually with such a good field of experienced drivers but I'm not complaining :) especially as I was promoted to pole after the pole sitter had to leave :(

Managed to hold 1st into the 1st corner and then set about trying to put some space between me and Nelson but it wasn't going to happen so I decided to lift slightly through the slow corners, trying to back him into the chasing cars in 3rd and 4th in the hope of keeping his mirrors busy but that backfired and resulted in me overshooting a turn and getting back on track in about 7th place. At that point I decided to pit as soon as they were open so I could come out on a clear track and try to make up for my mistake. This time my plan worked and I was elevated to 2nd place behind Simon after all the stops were over.....race on.....

Simon and my times were perfectly matched and the 7-8 second gap wasn't getting any smaller...oh well! 2nd it is, no shame it that, but........
I think the only mistake he made in the race saw Simon re-entering the track behind me and the chequered flag was only 2 laps away for the taking :D

Great race and another great week.

LONG LIVE RACE 07
