Reset setups in new version?

Just a question:
Think about you are fiddeling on a setup to make it right for hours
(a bad setup makes you slow, for sure..., practice makes you consistent, good setups may make you faster

Then a new debugged version of AMS2 comes out and Reiza says again: just reset the setup of car X to make sure to use the new changes.
How do you deal with this?
Note down all the old settings and dial them in again?

No, because if they've changed the physics of the car then the old setup will not work the same way. That's the whole reason they say to reset them. So I deal with it by simply deleting my setups as instructed and starting again.

But then, I don't obsess over setups so the impact is less for me than it is on those who do.
