reinstalling BTB without losing the licence.

Is it possible to reinstall BTB pro, without losing the BTB pro licence?

And if it is possible how can i do that.

The situation now is is that the harddisk containing BTB pro has crashed and even when i succeeded to copy the map on a different HD, i get error messages when i try to open the program .

Run regedit and delete the HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\BobsTrackBuilder entry. This will reset the BTB settings which are looking for the old location.

Thanks! It worked. Now i can reach this program again without the old disk.

I have to search now for another solution. My licence expired after 1.5 month.

Ok. the situation is now:
I use win XP. The program worked with the new id.txt and i did not change the hardware configuration.
The program says the licence has expired.

now Ihave a new pc and a new license of btb, i get error messages when i try to open the tracks of old version of btb.
this error message:
in order to locate all old textures. the Venue file must be located under the old bob Track builder\proyects folder.
where is the old bob Track builder\proyects folder ?

This topic is about a different problem. And although it didn't solve my problem in the end, this one is closed because i am done with this program after all.

I’m in the same boat, with a bunch of half completed tracks and a locked license.

This is a great software package, and it’s a shame to see valid supporting users turned away from using it, buy a rather harsh licensing system.

Doesn’t matter how good software is, if you can’t use it :sad:
