Refuel mid race

i drive into the pits, stay there for about 20sec, and nothing changes when i go out...then i run out of gas...how do i refuel?

Does the pit menu come up when you are in the pits?

If not, you aren't stopping in the right place. Look where the pit man is pointing and try to get as close to where he's pointing as possible.

I'm not 100% sure about this, and I can't confirm it cuz I'm not home right now...
But you can't really pit if you are in practice. I think you can only pit if you are in the race session.
So make sure you aren't trying to pit while in practice.
