FM7 really enjoying FM7

Forza Motorsport 7 (Turn 10 Studios)
Agreed. Car list is awesome. I can put a grid together that resembles an SCCA weekend with RX-7s and Spec Miatas (which are fun cars). Or I can recreate an 80's IMSA weekend. Performance is not great (compared to FH4), but good enough.

Plus, I really like the rivals system where you can beat on any car, any track. Not perfect, and I had a LOT of problems getting it to start up early on, but I'm glad it finally worked out.

Really fast cars like the Indycars and F1 are pretty bad, to me. But for GT cars (like the IMSA GTO Mercury Cougar) or the Riley Daytona Prototypes are very fun.

Installed FM7 after a hiatus again and very happy to see FFB is now much less of a chore to get dialed in and Simshaker now has support for it as well!
Been having a blast with this car toybox again these last few days!

For me, there is still a lot I wish the game had, but for what it is, its OK in small doses. There are times where it does draw me in, like when I am making good progress in tuning a car, or racing at a track I enjoy. Just as long as I don't do certain things, all is well.

FM7 is a title I play when taking a break from the norm.

FM7 with tactile is a very nice part of a healthy sim diet.
Also for the VR fans out there, driving using big screen with the proper personal screen settings goes along way into pseudo VR experience. Nice to try if you have not yet.

Jumped back into FM7 in anticipation of Forza Motorsport on the 10th. To keep myself busy I played around with Photo-Mode and discovered that FM7 does nice 5760x1080 pictures. I was trying to see what all of the commotion about the Mitsubishi Lancer EVO 6 GSR was, and why people are pulling their hair out over the car model. So I snapped a pic of the one I have in my game and compared it to a pic of the real car. There is a lot that needs to be corrected, but I instantly know what car it is, so I am not 100% put off by the errors of the old model. But I do get it, and see why this is the prime case why the older models need to be overhauled.

But I am getting beside myself! When I went to collect my photo from Forza's site, the preview was very pixelated... When I clicked to view the image, it was smooshed into a 16:9 format, but when I went to download it, I got this...

Holy crap! That looks pretty good. The pic, not the car... So, I tried taking a few more shots to see if more pics will come out in 48:9, and they did. So I decided to make a few images for my desktop. I've been dying to share them somewhere cause I am a little proud of a few of these pics. Here's what I got...

Once again they are 5760x1080, but they are still great for my purposes.

Edit. Larger pictures. I keep forgetting to pick the right sizes.
