Restrictions: If you have already signed up for the League, you must only drive the car type you have signed up with during this event.
Entry: A working GPCOS account is required, as the password will only be published in your control centre in GPCOS. GPCOS is here.
Mod installation is the entrants responsibility. Entrants causing disruption due to installation errors will be kicked.

Track Notes
These 2 tracks were chosen for testing as they contain all variations required for a balanced and accurate assessment and test of the League vehicles' characteristics.

Dijon is obviously a very familiar track for all GTL drivers, and while we all know that it can show off power and top speed, it also has a couple of other technical areas that will help with the driver's knowledge about their chosen vehicle. T1L requires good brakes to slow as late as possible, and a good steup will allow stable transitions from heavy braking to initial feathered throttle turn-in, to on-the-power turn exit. There are 2 very steeply contoured turns (T5L & T6R) to severely test out the grip, balance and poise of all cars and their setups. The long final corner (T8R) also tests the under/oversteer tendencies and ability to accept power, as you need to be on the power very early in the turn for a good lap time, but there is also a varying radius, a dip and crest to contend with as well.

Vallelunga is a less familiar track, but it contains several other car testing features. It has a long front "straight" where there is a couple of very high speed kinks to negotiate, requiring stable changes of direction. Followed by T1R & T2R, a banked double apex turn where your car's stability over kerbs will be at a premium. T3R & T4L is another test of direction change at speed, with the exit of T4L also needing braking stability as you will possibly still be steering out of the turn as you need to brake for T5R. T6L is an incredibly tight turn so grip into and acceleration out of there is crucial, and the slow speed chicane T7aL & T7bR that follows is another big stability test.

All in all, these 2 tracks were the best compromise for all the cars, allowing the power cars some straights to stretch their legs, the handling cars some complexes to catch up, and the balanced allrounders to patrol that middle ground between power and handling at all times.

I noticed that after I pushed Carlos, he typed "np" and second later he was on the grass, I saw that. :) So, Carlos, I completely understand why you want to avoid chat during the race. I've found myself in similiar crap after typing "np", or after searching for S or T key for "sorry" or "thank you".
So, I'm not distacted by the text on the top of the screen, I'm truly distracted by that "I must apologise now" stuff.
 
It was great to see this mixed field after a series of 1-car events I participated in lately.
I was pretty amazed with my 5th spot in Q with a 1.24.7, this (and the 8 consistent 1.25'ers in practice) gave me good confidence for the race. I had a decent start, but nothing compared to Stuart's launch. As he flew by Dubravko passed me on little kink on the straight pushing me pretty wide. Completely locking the brakes and seeing images of lot's of sand I survived the first corner. Now I had 3 914's in front of me which I carefully followed throughout the opening lap to open up the throttle entering the 2nd lap. On the 3rd (or 2nd) lap I spun at the hairpin putting me a few spots back behind Mr. Palmer. As I was so intrigued by his driving style I decided to keep as close as possible for the rest of the race. We encountered Erling at the hairpin - Sorry for the correcting tab - When Steven went wide in lap9 I took the position, only to give it back entering t1 in the final lap with a nice braking-maneuver. Then with only 1 minute of racing to go the lady enters with my crying sun...locking up the brakes and sending Steven & myself in the dust. - I really hope you forgive me for the second tab, I was only trying to get you out of the dirt.

On the sorry-issue: No headlights in league events! Remember Andreas got a warning for this last season

6.5 Chatting
To drive a proper race a certain amount of concentration is required. To make sure this concentration is not broken it is forbidden to chat during qualification and race sessions. Only the staff may use the chat to communicate important information to the drivers. There are no exceptions to this rule. Offenders will be penalised.
I'm sorry for being so stubborn, but every serious (it can be fun but seriously following some basic rules) online race has this rule, and I knew it should be here in RD somewhere.

Lights should be avoided too. Apart from disturbing one's concentration, the driver who receives the light might misunderstand the message. You blink saying "sorry" or "thanks" or "you may go", and he thinks "are you calling me what???"

I used my lights when advising other cars, for example Gary Lennon, that he could pass me without worries because I wouldn't fight in braking zone. I did that long before the end of the straight, but anyway... did he really understand that? We never know till after the race.

So I really suggest excluding chat and lights from the races unless it's REALLY necessary.

On another subject: Ralf, I didn't understand your point in your message, but on track we should focus on racing, if we're pussies, cats, blonds, brunettes, dark-haireds, fat, thin, black, brown or white. Musslins, christians, buddhists, hinduists, WHAT-EVER. This is not a place for prejudices and therefore nobody should think anything about anyone; if so, there is a Private Message tool to solve that.

One more thing: results for Vallelunga are wrong, at least concerning my final position. Replay time 645.000 I was 18th, replay time 649.000 the game changed me to 20th and put me a lap behind. I wasn't lapped by the leader anytime, and the result was registered.

The error was in lap 7 or 8. Final position 18th in front of a BMW.

Here in the forum it's being considered to the ranking, as Andreas warned. I don't have a problem with that, but I'd like to know what to do if that happens on league races in the future.

I was just teasin a bit, got a wife and a 24y old son. English's not my native language.

But I am very sensitive towards crashes, no matter if it's league, season or fun race. My former post was my confession to that
 
That chat messages that were most annoying were the constant "SIM_GTC.gdb mismatch" messages about Dubravko.

Dubravko, can you check your install again please?

If we keep getting these mismatches, and these messages, I'm not going to let you drive in League races.

i will try to fix it but i am not sure if i can, because i dont even know what is that :)).....i so that sometime when i play online but never on me...
 
Well read some statements from D. Vuckovic he wasn't that excited, I'm just interpreting he was taken out by another but don't know. Anyway, I read and heard quite a few "sorrys" here n there. " :sorry: There's nothing worse than being taken out on the first lap.....:poop: " My opinion is there's nothing worse than be taken out on any lap.

ohh no..worst is if u even dont hear sorry...nothing..just like nothing happened...that is one of reasons why i am not more excited about leauge..:)
 
OK - before too many drivers start laying down their personal preferences as rules....

i) We will have no headlight use during races.

ii) Chat in quali and race is totally forbidden apart from staff.

Make sure you say sorry after the race though - manners are non-negotiable commodities in my events.
