We are all hoping you can get yourself well enough to race again very soon Sam, it is not quite the same without you showing the way up front. Best wishes mate.

Sorry I had to miss the testing event, I'm having a few little health issues too at the moment. This getting old is no fun. :wilt:

Yeah mate take it easy, rest up, TS was mighty quiet tonight without you :silly:

Thanks for these Steven, you are a star.
Good to see so many cars in GTL and these new skins from Stu look a treat. The little Porsche looked to be pretty competitive too, so maybe this time I have a better car for the season (well fewer excuses anyway). That Corvette had some impressive straight line power too, I'll bet Ivo will be looking forward to the big open tracks.
I get the impression that there will be lots more self induced "offs" in this League, these are much more tricky to control.
Only issue seemed to be a couple of guys lagging, hope that doesn't have too much impact.

Thanks again for taking the trouble to post these replays Steven, very interesting to watch.

R1: I never drove at this curcuit, I had no setup, but I had a lot of fun :) I started quite well, but I was a few time beside track, made some spins and came as on of last.

R2: Again good start then mistake in the complex before S/F and again I tried to catch anyone.

R3: Never drove this circuit, first when I got out of the pits I drove opposite direction ;) But then I learned it a little bit and could drive same pace. Grid is very narrow, so there was a lot of mess on the start someone pushed me and I span. Then I had a little "suprise" unde rthe bridge when two guys crushed it was impossible to avoid them.

I look forward to next race!! :D

Yeah it's very quick on the straights. But the BMW was also very quick.
But The Vette is quit good in the corners. Only long fast corners is very difficult lots of understeer. But i really liked it on the Snetterton. :)

I followed that Vette out of the last turn onto the Long straight at Paul Rickard, now the 906 is no slouch but that Vette just cruised off. Sounded great too :good:

Yeah, at one stage Ivo and Bert in his Alpina went either side of me on the long straight @ Ricard75, like I'd left the handbrake on :D

Gary & Hans in a 911 & a Schnitzer respectively did the same thing at Snett but then both ate the bridge as 2 into 1 don't go.

But come the corners (especially at Snetterton where I worked out that I'd had my gearing set all wrong at both the Ricards  ) the Escort felt really nice.

Still think that Stuttgart has got the best cars in the League overall, but Dagenham's not as far off the pace as I predicted, tbh. (Most of that slowness is probably me :D )

I am still hoping for a Vette buddy. :D
The mixed field is great. You really need to know the strenghts and weakeness of the other cars at the grid. That's why there where some collisions last night i think because everybody don't really know yet wich car is bad under braking etc. :)

Btw i have a couple of question as Legends newbie. :wink2:

- Can i have a track map on my screen? I searched for it but i couldn't really find it.
- Replays. The game didn't saved the races for me only Paul Ricard 75 and the other tracks only a hotlap. I have everything on high and on in the replay menu.

1. Nope, sorry GTL doesn't give you that option.
2. In your plr file you'll need to make sure this value is set to "1"

Replays Dated="1" // Replays have date in filename

That way all replays will save independent of each other. Just be aware it does fill up the replay folder this way.

1. No. These days there was no GPS available :p
2. find PLR file and set

  • Replays Dated="1" // Replays have date in filename

others options you should consider changing:

  • Autopit="0"
  • Force Autopit Off="1" // Forces autopit always off
  • No AI Control="1" // AI never has control over car (except autopit)
  • Allow HUD in cockpit="1"
hehe Stuart was little bit quicker :)

LOL! I got stuck on that mound that runs along the track (snetterton) and I could not get OFF!! I had to quit the race.
Both Ricard & Snett were on my potential track shortlists, but both have a couple of League no-go's - issues that could end someone's race even if the mistake was not a particularly bad one.

With Snett, it's that berm you got stuck on, with Ricard, it's that sand that doesn't slow you, but also doesn't allow you to steer away from any impacts etc. (plus my own rule about only one track per country in the League meant that Le Mans was already representing France, therefore making Ricard even less of a possibility)

Good shakedown to get us going.

On each of the races I ended up at the back by the first corner. Race 1 & 3, I got hit and on race 2 I did it to myself. Not complaining (yet) as it made it quite fun chasing back up the beautiful looking pack. I remember some good fights with Knut & Sam.

My appetite is now well an truly whetted.

Fond memories of my big silly grin as me and Hans mullahed you one on each side down the straight to the "Bridge of Misfortune",...yes that grin did soon get removed....when you stuck your 2 fingers up as you went through i presume that was you signalling the fact it was 2 places you got there?..... :p

And i can confirm that Vette power on the straights is a cause for concern, also Ivo was good enough braking it as well making any thoughts of passing very difficult, the only positive is the engine noise following those things is such a treat :D.
But i think the main surprise and eye opener for me was those pesky little Porkers!!,had the legs to hang in a bit with the 911,but seemed to be in a different class how they could chuck it in to the fast turns at Paul Ricard, loads of fun with Mr. Palmer letting me see the strengths and weaknesses of the cars.

  • Bert Van Waes

Was a fun night. But i am a bit surprised with the BMW.

Compared to other cars it hasn't got good turn abilitys on fast corners, we need to brake on the moment others can even bury the throttle deeper.

Also , all the Polish guys, Roman etc, were lagging hard. Very difficult to estimate the real positions off them on track.

TS was very quiet, it's the most quiet race i ever had on TS. Maybe my mic was to silent or so,... :)

And then i really can't understand the BMW at the top, 5/6 secs faster then the other two, and at the 3th race at the top, wow!!! How do you do that?

Great coming together though!
