Hello all.

As is customary, I will be starting to trail the next RDHCS season while still in the middle of the current one.

This time though, the process will be slightly accelerated, because we have a shorter break between seasons as we adjust to our timetable that avoids the peak Summer Holiday season and the Christmas/New Year break. This allows more people to compete in more rounds without absences.

There are just 6 weeks between Season 9 finishing & Season 10's Test event and so, as I'm aware that some of you like to have some extended testing time on the cars, I'll be announcing the final S10 vehicle list between Rounds 4 (23/10) & 5 (6/11) of this season. That will give you all around 3 months before the S10 Test event (29/01) to take them out, shake them down, spin then round, light them up, or whatever verb + preposition combo you like best.

I suspect that you will need the time to do your due diligence, as we have (deliberately) kept the vehicle carset quite large for S10, hopefully to provide even more variety and make the already tricky choice that much harder.

The last thing that will be released will be the finalised track list, as we are still compiling that at the moment, so you won't have the full 3 months of testing the League cars on the League tracks.

As finalised details emerge, those details will be formally posted in the (yet to be created) S10 Intro & Info Thread, and this thread will metamorphosise into the S10 General Chat thread as we get past the end of S9. Until things are finalised, everything I say in here and should be filed under a "provisional" banner.

As always, there is to be no talk of laptimes, relative speeds etc. either before the vehicle confirmation while you are speculating, or after confirmation when you are testing.

Here are the details I can release now:-

Nominal Season Class: GTC-65 (I say nominal, as there may be cars that are unbalanced in their own class that match up well in this set).
Number of Available Vehicles: 9
Default to mod ratio: 4:5
Rounds: 8
Format: 100km (200km finale)

Vehicle set teasers:
3 of the 9 cars have appeared in previous Seasons run by me (not necessarily in the same season as each other).
2 of the 9 cars have models in the Current season.
There is 600kg between the lightest and heaviest cars in the S10 car set.
The most powerful car has nearly 3x the power of the weakest
1 of the 9 cars has never been used by RD in any event (yet).
There are 5 different manufacturing nations represented in the car set

He is just upset because turned his frowny images into smily images.

And if I was to make any guesses he just pulls the serious face images out. As such:

Lime Rock Park!
It counts as fantasy since the layout we used in the club was never actually built, and we used it in the club.
Guessing other? I have no idea. I do not remember the names and lots of details about most tracks.
*shrug*

And really, You know how incredibly awesome a full-on TransAm race would be with lots of different cars.
The tracks listed were actually used for recent historic races too.

No, 'he' is annoyed because you filled up a post with those pictures -which were not the point of the thread- before posting a carset and schedule that you knew could and would never happen in our league, purely to pursue your misguided agenda about American cars/tracks being the best or the only thing that's fun.

The serious face was just a slim conceit for people who had actually considered the possibilities and parameters before making their guesses.

I think the real reason why we can't have a league with those cars isn't cuz Thommo hates American Iron or doesn't think a Trans-Am type league wouldn't rock. I'm sure he loves a bunch of those cars, the big problem is half or more of the mods needed are illegal conversions and can't be used here in RD.

What you seek is already available here: http://www.gamers-crib.com/forum/forumdisplay.php?f=66

OK, lets try and stay on topic so we don't ruin the purpose of this thread.

Here are some track guesses:

GP-200
Ahvenisto
Killarney
R1-Circuit
Mont Tremblant 09
Autodromo Saponaro
Riverside
Piddy

We've had 2 Series of single make Boss racing already (all tracks being based in the Americas), more than any other vehicle, which should say everything.

But - not everyone likes Muscle cars, and those people are as correct to prefer other types as anyone else is to prefer Muscle cars in the first place.

Preference is not "wrong", presenting preference as fact, or dismissing others preferences as incorrect however, is.

The aim of the league is to cater for all preferences, hence why there is always a spread of vehicles in my Leagues.

My preference is not the muscle cars, I'd almost certainly never pick one for League duties, but that doesn't mean I'd ever prevent people from indulging their preference.

OK, now we're after Round 4, the more observant of you will have noticed the S10 Intro & Info thread appearing - albeit with quite a bit of unfinalised info with regard to vehicles & venues in there.

I'm going to put that vehicle & venue tbd stuff in here and you, yes you, are gradually going to fill in the missing info.

Here are the rules:-

You are allowed 1 guess at a venue or a vehicle, and you are not allowed any further guesses until I respond to your post. (I'll use the @ function to tag you and indicate my response and your correctness or wrongitude). Think carefully about duplicating guesses - the first person to get the correct answer is the "winner" per item.

To give you some sort of clues -
i) the cars are in alphabetical order
ii) the tracks are in schedule order
iii) not all the cars are GTC-65 class in game
iv) there are no duplicate countries in the schedule
v) there are 2 venues in the testing event - you may only guess at one of them at a time
