+1, my initial thought, nice.
Sorry folks, I've used paint brush strokes to divide it as the brush strokes are essentially all that make up the team's livery designs this year (in other leagues too). Keeping it uniform and all...
Also, the Subaru's rear wing base is a b!*£# to paint, I'd have spent far too long trying to make a zip work on it
My highlights from Germany
First i was like, woah, he's driving clean. Hardly letting the rear end step out. Great setup.
Then at around 1.30 you were fishtailing like hell. There it was, the character of the real peugeots. Trying to kill you with the rear end
Yeah, it was mostly clean driving, but doing so I was also quite slow. I am not able to drive fast and clean, at least not in this game
Looked like you had a blast there Lucky escape at 2:57!
I mostly like the handling of the 306 but the engine note rather grates after a while, especially with the power peak being at stupidly high rpm... I normally have to turn down the volume when I drive it
I know what you mean about the high RPM of the 306, but at least it's real, the Seat really annoys me as i don't believe it was sampled from the rear car. High RPM can be hard to reproduce.
Hmm, tough call between realism and just plain sounding nice
The best sound in the whole game is probably always going to be the Quattro for me, but the Impreza gives it a run for its money!
Indeed - I thought I would destroy my car completely on thet hinckelstein!
So i gotta ask, controller?
Who? Me? I use a G27
Ahh ok, i just saw at one point the steering move very rapidly, it was either a glitch (cos replay) or maybe, low rotation?
I am ready for Wales. The last big event before D4 hits and DR will have it's legendary status and also will be unistalled and collect dust. 2 years of DR, 2 years of upgrading from a DFGT to a CSW 2.5 and all kind of peripherals. May D4 even make my simrig better actually 3 years cause of ETS2
I am feeling like DR is my girlfriend, and we are going to break up.
yep, dr will go the way of all the other games before, in my case: dirt03, dirt, mcrae 2005, mcrae04, mcrae02. Just such a pity one cannot transport the stages even in "in house" games as codemasters mcrae/dirt series. remember the brilliant japanese stages from the original dirt? or the equally great spanish ones from mcrae 2005? or the fabolous greek stages from dirt02? it would be soooo great to be able to tackle them with the dr engine and graphics. and may the dirt03 stages be as quickly forgotten as they deserve ...
There were lots of great stages in both CMR 1 and 2 too, I think I played those games to death back then
I think I'm using around 320 degrees, that might be it?
Ahh yes, that would explain it, that's pretty low.
I use about 450 degrees in most driving games. (Funnily enough though, I find I have to set it to more like 700 for the single-seaters in AC, or I simply can't control them.)
Catching slides is just too damn hard when you use 900!
In fact I have wondered a few times why REAL rally drivers don't use somewhere in the 300-500 range - it'd mean they didn't have to move their hands so far (Is there some regulation about steering ratio?)
I use 313, it's around what I am used to the wheel turning in karting, also, slightly because of Donald Duck (his car have the reg.plate 313 - yes, I am weird).
Depends on regulations and class I guess, also, I don't think it's too often they turn in the whole way around as you can see on this Escort in Norway 7 min and on is big speed. Plus between 9:30 and 9:50 there is cameos by @Joakim Skalstad and @Roy Magnes with vests and cameras doing some filming ;P
I like the logic behind the 313 And cool video (is that you at the wheel?), but I think my sound card is bust cos the audio just comes out like people talking gobbledegook
Oh, I wish it was me! But no, it's some quite good rally guy here in Norway
At least it ain't gaelic or something! ;P
