RD Fun Contest - Best Racing Engine Ever Made (III Turn)

I voted for the V10 primarily thanks to the early '00s F1 cars. Incredible sound and RPM.

Not on the list but my personal fave is the 2.65 liter single turbo V8 from the late 90's/early 00's CART era.

Best one in my Opinion is the 1986 BMW M12 Engine wich was used in F1.
The 1986 engine was claimed to have produced a maximum output of 1,400 hp (1,044 kW) in qualifying trim, which would make it the most powerful engine of all the turbo-charged engines, as well as non-turbo charged engines, ever used in Formula-1 racing
Massive Power for a 4 cylinder with 2,0 liters cc ;)

The V in V10 stands for visceral but... it is cruel to have to choose that or the V12. The winner here (V12) must go on to win it all.

V12 really, sounds wonderful, the V10 i thought of was the Viper, not V10 F1.
i went form V12 to V8 in my head in f1...ha
never mind the less used V16, who did it last, Harry Miller in 1932?
