Rally - Jeremy's Alpine Tour - Monday 25th & Tuesday 26th June 2012

Thanks for this rally!! Another nice car.......when i get used to it. Had a spin on ss 5 but lost a few sec. The rest og the rally was good for me. Fernando was driving a escort MK2 but i'll guess it was for fun. He was faster tha me on nearly all the stages but had problems on the last one so i was winning the Eu sessoin.

Congrats Fernando, Magnar, and Jeremy

Stage wins:
Fernando Agapito: 7 stage wins
Viesturs Priede: 1 stage win

Thanks to everyone who joined, thanks to Warren for setting it up, and thanks to Fernando for the podium presentation.

Please let me know if you notice any mistakes.

Well, that's depressing. I thought I did okay on SS3 - Sikakama at least, but even there I'm one of the slowest ones, and over 40 seconds behind the stage win.

Was fun though. Until I started crashing out :D

SS1 is the easiest stage and yet I still managed to spin the car

I have never driven this car before, it feels more understeered specially on tighter corners compared to my favorite RWD the Escort MK2 which has no problem entering hairpin corners. But the Alpine is very fast and it accelerates fast after a turn.

Congrats to Magnar and Jeremy!

Thanks Jeremy for designing my rally :D, thanks Warren and Senad for the Admin works.

Seriously? Stage win at that one? I went heavily off the track at the very last corner. Also nearly spun at 2 differenet places, it was pretty shabby stage for me. But I guess everyone else did even worse :p Congrats Fernando, Magnar and Jeremy :)

Grats to Fernando for the win, looks like a very dominant result to me.
"I have never driven this car before". Looking at the time differences to everyone else, I find that hard to believe. ;)

Well done to Magnar and Jeremy for the podium, good consistent driving.

Bit surprised at the number of drivers in this one, that car should have been interesting and fun.
Sorry I couldn't join this one, my home should return to normal next week and I should be able to get to my Racing again. Overall, the interest in the Rally Club seems to be declining lately, only small grids, maybe with the break in the RDRC we might see some regulars joining again.

Huge thanks to Jeremy for designing this Rally.
Thanks to those who joined this Rally, to Fernando for the Podium presentation, Damien for the Banner, and Senad for his slick Admin work.

Comparing my times to only the drivers here which you can count with both your hands isn't really enough for you to doubt :p :D

I've understood how RWD works, but really, I haven't driven that car before. I drove on EU with the slower Escort MK2 1800 and I still gave the same performance for a RWD car which Magnar mentioned after the session, I even beat my Alpine run on Diamond Creek with the slower Escort MK2.

Well anyway, hope to see some S2000 category soon, or myabe Group N, it's been a while since we drove that class here in rally club.

Yep S2000 should be in the pipeline now. I've also been wanting to run the Bi-Annual Group N Team Challenge but have been waiting for the overall numbers to increase again. We just don't have enough non Euro guys at the moment. :(

Next week I've got something a little different planned, an idea (car?) sparked by Roy some weeks ago. ;)

TBH, I have no idea how you guys can drive any car in RBR with a Game pad. :notworthy:
man trust me it is hard mate. well you need to have full control or you fingers. thumbs especially. its even more difficult for roads like mineshft. depending on the view. i view the car so sometime you don't see the road ahead. and have to rely on the notes.. but we get there.
