NOTES:
  • Click here to read the password!
  • You will require the RSRBR 2012 Mod & Update 02, in order to participate, please see the Installation and Usage thread.
Please Note: Update 03 is scheduled for release prior to this rally, please check for further details before this Rally.
Latest Update: Update 03 has been released but not evaluated yet, so drivers are advised to delay installation until after this Rally. See further details in this Post:

  • You will also require the Group H car pack.
  • Teamspeak is highly recommended, and adds to the fun.
IMPORTANT:
  • Please sign up in the following format: RD Name (RSRBR2012 Name) - Session
  • Take a screenie of RSCenter, or save your times, showing your final results at the end of the rally (including the car you drove!). This is in case any of your stages are missed by the server. If there's a discrepancy, please post your times ASAP so we're not adjusting times over 24 hours later.
  • You must stick with the same car throughout the rally - if you change, your times for those stages will be defaulted.
  • If you are new to Richard Burns Rally, we have provided a set of guidelines and links to help you get up and running: Here

Our next Rally is open for sign-up.

We have an Aussie themed rally this time, featuring the Historic RWD cars which are still very popular in Australian Rallys.

Drivers are free to choose any of the Historic cars available in the Group_H car pack. Please note however, these cars do vary considerably in power and handling, some cars are more difficult to drive than others, with power vs handling being a tricky trade-off. It is recommended that drivers choose a car that they feel comfortable with, as this may prove to yield their best times.

These cars are all RWD, so the handling is unique and may require delicate control of the throttle. All can be a lot of fun with plenty of tail end sliding on offer.

Stages are mostly Gravel, but a couple of Mix Mod Stages are included.

We will use REALISTIC damage, but weather conditions are generally very good, typical Aussie weather. This should allow drivers to get the most fun from these cars.

DRIVER BRIEFING NOTES:

1. These cars are typical RWD Rally cars, but some are trickier to drive than others. Choose your car wisely as some are quite a handful. Patience, self control, and a light right foot will be rewarded. Also, the Handbrake will not work with these RWD cars.

2. RBR Pacenotes are designed for default cars, Normal conditions and Good weather. Please remember to adjust your speeds to suit these cars.

3. Tyre selections are the drivers responsibility. If you use the automatic tyre selection option in RSRBR2012, please beware that sometimes it may give you the wrong tyre for the conditions. Always double check your tyres, it is critical, especially when changing to Snow Stages.

If requests are made for any additional timezones, or changes to Start times to better suit your local needs, we will try to include them ( but within the Monday/Tuesday periods).

In addition, we have the added bonus for the Rally winner, choosing the details for the nominated Club Rally on 2nd & 3rd April 2012. (as per the proposal submitted by Fernando Agapito).

Good luck all, and hope you enjoy these Historic RWD Classics. Happy sliding . :D

PLEASE NOTE: I have adjusted the Start times for North America, based on DST commencing in the USA 11th March.

I've left the US Start time as 2:30 GMT (10:30 PM Eastern) which was the compromise used last rally, but taking into consideration that DST will have started.
Please let us know if that doesn't suit the US drivers.

ALL USA Drivers: Please check your RSCenter timezone offsets, to ensure synchronisation to the Server.

you sir, win. I can't wait for this event!!
Can't decide on which car to take though, the escort is a bit of a beast :p
sucks we can use the other old RWD ones like the celica though, that would be epic :p

escort and BMW can be quite a handful too, levin is great to drive ^^
next time we need to incorporate the VHC_1 and 2 packs, would love to drive the escort amongst others ;)

Jack, I hear you and I did consider it this time. However with RSRBR2012 Update 03 due this weekend, and not knowing what might be included or changed, I didn't want to widen the risks.
I also think we have plenty of choice available in Group_H, and I didn't want drivers to have to spend excessive time testing heaps of cars to make their choice. :)

good point. they promised it last weekend too, which sucks, but i know Humalamaki has just come in original format so maybe thats why its a little longer...
