Rally - English Escort - Monday 1st & Tuesday 2nd August 2011

I finished my rally :)

First stage a roll, but i could continue pretty fast, lost about 8 to 10 seconds.
Second stage again a roll, but this time in the tree's and i needed a cfh, that costed me a lot of time!

The rest of the stage went fine, very nice and funny car to drive!!! :D

Retired the first stage because of wrong car.

SS02 very good stuff, loving the car very much!!! Saved replay and BSOD'ed, back on time for SS03 though...

SS03 again very nice.

SS04 rolled it and ended up on the side, called for help

SS05 retired when jumping over the bridge next to it ended up in ramming trees very very hard.
One split second of joy for not hitting the bridge ended up in a very dead engine...

For some reason the retirement of SS05 shows the other car again... Weird

SS06: Flying, saved replay! no BSOD!

SS07: call for help, stuck in grass made me call that one...

SS08: too much is too much... Retired...

Loved the car and rally, made me push too hard though, i want more of this rear wheel stuff, MORE!!!

Can't wait to start racing tonight!! That is if RSCenter lets me. It won't sync my pc time with the server time so it tells me to do it manually, so I did. Then for some weird reason the pc time changes back, every time. yaaaaaaay. I'm on 7 32bit if that helps. Any ideas? I really want to race tonight.

Sweet car, sweet rally!

Three or four CFHs - one really annoying one where the car couldn't get any traction on FLAT GRASS - but still managed to get third overall in this session; which goes to show what a challenging event this was :D

Cheers Warren/Senad.

See your faces next week in Round 2!

Right click and select "run RSCenter as administrator" and then it will allow you to change the clock. Works on Vista, anyway, worth a shot I guess :)

As I did not drive that hideous thing a single meter I hope it is okay f I join one of the other sessions instead? Had planned to have a go at the OC-session just for the fun of it, but now it looks like that session might be the one that counts :)

No problem with that Roy. :thumb:

EDIT: There ia also an EUX or OCX session if you prefer.

Have you set your time offset in RSCenter under Settings? Under GMT/UTC. I think NZ may be +12 hrs (or + 13 ?)
To manually do it, you need to change your PC Clock to the same time as the Server (do that by clicking display server time when in Public Sessions) and then letting it synch your time.

Also, you may need to use Roy's tip.

Really fun rally!!! :D Liked the car a lot and I also hope it will be more of RWD competions!
Managed to roll three times on the first stage rofl... xD and I ditched the car on stage 3 and got stuck, had to call for some help.
Other than that it was not too many mistakes and managed to end up on fourth place in the EU session :)
But god its hard to drive with keyboard, especially in this rally I think since the car always got full throttle on and off... I also lost about 6 seconds in every start of the rally because of some weird keyboard issue with that car at low speeds.
But within a couple of days now I will finally get a steering wheel :D so hopefully it can be used to Round 2!

And BIG thanks RD for a nice rally!

Tried them all last night. I have UAC disabled, so I dont think run as admin worked :(
And it was a problem with the display server time in public sessions where it said to change it manually. I have got my settings to =11 GMT at the moment in settings too. Oh well, I'll try again when I get home from uni. It has been fine since I have been playing it, so maybe the computer was just being....yes.

Sorry Jack, you are correct, the setting for NZ should be +11 hrs.

If you have problems again tonight, just check the exact time that the server is reporting. You may still need to make a small adjustment to your PC Clock.
Some of us have been having problems due to the Server clock being a couple of minutes fast, and if your PC clock is a couple of minutes behind it, it sometimes won't automatically synch it. To get around that, we just adjust our PC clock forward by a couple of minutes (as close as possible to the minutes reported by RSCenter, and then get RSCenter to synch it for us.
Bit messy, but if you check it, say one hour before the event, and get it synched, it should be ok for the Rally. If you still have problems, let us know and maybe we can talk you through it via TS. Some of us will be on TS about 15 mins before the rally Start time.

I got it updated!! :D now lets see if it shall stay that way :)
I'm not sure If I can teamspeak this round, as my internet is back to dial up speeds cause the quota got exceeded >_>
but it will still have times so thats sweet :D

Have I mentioned I LOVE this car? What an absolute blast, some of the stages weren't as tough as the last time we ran them, but that made it more challenging to not get complacent and screw up big time. Only had one minor off on SS7, overshot a hairpin by a few feet and lost a couple seconds but otherwise drove well, for once I was being a slight bit cautious and not going balls to the wall all the time. All I know is my time on Chirdonhead Damp is 3 seconds faster than the fastest time on the stage from February, we'll see how this turns out.

Well done to J.P. and Corey, it was great fun watching your split times to see who would get the upper hand.

sorry, another rookie question. just went on the public sessions and I see the OC one says
02/08/2011
12.30.00

so according to that will that be 12pm tomorrow or midnight? or something else?

Jack, that is the Server time (France). That equates to 10:30 GMT which is 10:30 PM tonight in NZ.

EDIT: There is also a OCX session starting at 10:00 PM NZ time if that suits you better.

Also, since this is your first Rally, make sure you have read this Tutorial:

http://www.racedepartment.com/richa...ow-play-on-line-how-set-up-rally-on-line.html

It might help explain how it all will work.

sweet, I had read all that stuff in that tutorial before, but getting slightly confused with times zones and stuff. cheers, can wait to begin at 10:30!
