Rally Club - New Event Proposals

Ah, I see. That makes sense.

Yeah, I just found that WRC 2 test very helpful for me for finding a car I enjoyed and checking it's relative pace, so thoguht I'd suggest a WRC 3 one, considering we've already tested the modern WRC cars.

I wouldn't mind finding a, something I thought of when I was looking at the 2013 calendar for the first half year, South Hemisphere Rally. In that I mean utilizing Argentina, Australia and Madagaskar stages and maybe GrH or similar powered cars for some closeness in the field itself :)

Armin Schwarz is turning 50 on July 16th so maybe we could do a tribute rally for him on 15th & 16th of July? :) Perhaps a rally where the car would change from stage to stage because there are so many great cars to choose from:
  • Toyota Celica ST165
  • Mitsubishi Lancer Evo
  • Toyota Celica ST205
  • Ford Escort WRC
  • Skoda Octavia WRC
  • Hyundai Accent WRC
  • Skoda Fabia WRC

I remember Roy talking about of a "Ford" rally, using MK1, MK2 etc. but not sure if people would remember to change cars between each stage.

So... Corey Twyman , Jonatan Åcerclinth, Daniel Monteiro, Michael Nelson. Viesturs Priede, Miikka Peltola, Rhys Gardiner, Dubravko Sparovec, Tomas Reinicke, Magnus Lindgren, Sion Williams, Arwyn Jones, Henri Korpela, Damien Wintz, John Cunningham

Do any of you have huge objections to one (or more) rallies where the car changes from stage to stage (or every other stage or something) ?

I can only tag 15 persons, so I took 15 of the latest people to race in the rally club :)

I like the idea. I can see possible DQ's unless you can force the car change.

Rally club events IMHO are amongst other things about fun and trying new stuff, so I am absolutely up for it.

As for dq's and 'forcing' car changes, we are all here for the same reasons, so I am sure we can get by and if you forget a change and get a dq, so what? Its not like I am going to get round without several cfhs and offs ;). I mean I could do with the prise money, but I will get by with out it...

We can at the very least give it a go!

Ironically i have little time this month as I am working on my own mk2 lol.(front end this year, strut tops, tca's and the like)

I have no objections either. Only problem being I'm also a little busy these next few weeks unfortunately. On holiday and work is massively busy, working 12-13 hours a day at the moment...

But I'll try and get to them :)

It could be lots of fun so I'm in as long as there is an exact list of what cars to use at which stage so you can write it down and have a look between the stages (my memory would make me forget as soon as I close the internet window) ;)
