Raikkonen / Hamilton Collide - Was the 10s Penalty too Harsh?

Tbh, I stopped taking this guy seriously a long time ago. He has a good point though in this case.
Well, since "he's got a point" here maybe you can show some respect KimiFan, after all JV is a world champ. :devilish:
He beat great Michael Schumacher fair and square.

“Without them crashing into each other he would have been running third the whole race, not having people moving out of the way to let him by, he would destroyed his tyres,” he said.

“That ended up working out, because he was the later one to pit, so he was the one who at the end had tyres that were still OK compared to Bottas.

“He finished second after a crappy start, so he should be happy with that, because he wasn’t going to win this race. Nothing to complain about."

JV, you're such a legend ! :laugh::laugh::inlove:

I agree with the outcome of the race though. As soon as he blew the start that was it. Game over man.

I think if rules and penalties were more clear, like hit a car and make it spin, that's 10 seconds, if it's on the first lap even more.
Hamilton ended up last though with his car he could came into 2nd position at last. But Kimi's move was very amateurish.

A sporting penalty (particularly when malice is neither proven nor evident) must be applied accounting for the ACTION not the consequence. Consequence is irrelevant. People do have a difficult time grasping this for some bizarre reason.

As Jacques Villeneuve said, first of all stewards are having difficult time grasping this.
This kind of (racing) incidents are sanctioned, and not in an standard way, only when some front runners are involved, when the backmarkers are involved they are often considered racing incidents.
In this big responsibility is from Mercedes bosses Wolff and Lauda, that after Bottas incident in France cryed out loudly about how much lenient was Vettel sanction, putting big pressure over Whiting and racing stewards.
