i got on the server with about 15 minutes to go in the praccy session so not much time to fine tweak my setup.

qualy: made abit of adjustement and it was good for third place on the grid :good:

race: since Bob had a problem we have reset the race to let him come back and by doing that it gave me the pole at the start, had a good one and was first at T1, from there i was able to maintain a 1 sec gap and eventually pull away by a few seconds. came in for my pitstop on lap 18 or 19 and took 4 fresh tyres but no fuel and came out the pit 2 sec behind Keith which only took 2 tyres, i pulled my head down and start pushing and was able to catch him slowly, with 6 laps to go i was 1 sec behind him when we came across a back marker which made me loose time ( about a sec ). finally at the finish line i had close the gap to .7xx from Keith.

I was 4th after pitstop in wich I had only put gas. Since the race thread only called for "forced pitstop" without mention of tire change, I tought it was OK, but... DQ for no tire change, bouaah. On the races I've joined, I think there was always that mentionned i.e. 2 tires minimum. Of course, I would have finish with more than worn tires, but I tought it was worth a try. An other lesson!!! I felt so frustrated, this track is much fun... Congratulations to the podium and everyone who finished the race. See you next time, always big fun on RD:dance2:

Love this track, and have fallen in love with the Audi. We quali'd and I did nail the pole with a 1:11.7 a PB. Then Bob lost connection, so we restarted the rounds and it seemed to alter the order so I started 5th which i was totally cool with. It sucks when you lose connection, so we were all happy to let bob back in.

Race: Started 5th

Start got away clean and managed to get into P4 behind Michel Hunter. Headed into T3 I had a huge run on Michel and he went to block. I went to the outside and was trying to avoid contact, and Michel slid up and this bumped me enough to get on the grass and lose 3 positions and slip to 7th. This killed me cause the guys up front were running a wicked pace and I knew I had my work cut out for me for the next 30 laps. Passed Corey T1 on Lap 2 and started chasing Phillip. He went wide in mosses and I got him down Andretti straight. Now chasing Michel, and knowing I need to get by to have a chance to chase down Gary, Robert, and yves who were fading in the distance. Got michel into T1 on lap 5, now chasing Gary who is 6.5 secs ahead and Yves is now 8.9 ahead. Last corner on lap 10 gary catches exit curb and spins hitting pit wall. Now into 3rd chasing down Robert who is 5 secs ahead. I reel him in over the next 3-4 laps I get within 2.5 secs of robert and am now only 7 secs away from yves as we approach pit stops. Lap 15 exiting turn 2 approaching Corey, to lap robert collected him. who we later found out corey had a lock up and thus was in no control at that time and the replay shows that clearly.

I am now in 2nd and am trying to close to gap to yves as we approach pit stops....and realize I need to take a chance with 2 left side tires. When I entered the pits on lap 17 with yves having a 6 second gap, I nailed the 2 tire stop and pushed hard for my out lap. Coming around for the next lap I see Yves still in pit lane and he emerges with me holding a 5 sec lead for the remaining laps. Obviously he had taken 4 tires and was going to be reeling me in.

Yves at one point at the gap down to .8 secs and as we navigated lapped traffic it opened to 2.2 which was enough for me to run to the end safely and we finished with only a blanket of .750 between us after 30 laps at Mosport.

Little long winded, but was another great battle.

Thanks for organizing Eric, and thanks RD for hosting, also thanks to all who raced today.

Keith

I need to get more track time before races!!!!

Finally got the car feeling better right at the end of qually.

Then had a nervy start when promoted to 3rd with the server reset and didn't want to ruin one of the quick guys race. Settled down in 6th only to fluff the 2nd to last corner. Had a good battle after rejoining with a Viper and 2 other cars. Made some silly little mistakes later which are punished round this track, but dragged it home in 4th.

Only 2 races here at RD so far, but they have been enjoyable and there is some good clean racing to be had round here.

Cheers guys:handshake:

Hi Yves,

I'd like to join in as well please.

Don't know the track yet, but it's a good reason to learn.

Trying to squeeze as many in this week as I can as I'm on holiday this week! I work nights here in the UK so I will miss all these races after this weekend:weep:

Started 6th after the reshuffle and away well enough, all went smooth and easy for me up to 3rd spot and then could push in closer to Robert, small mistakes would drop me back a bit,but then went for a big push to really join the front 2,rear left tyre up on the exit curb of final turn and i was heading for pit wall with a mighty crunch, susp and aero damage i was informed, chose to pit early and get it fixed as it was almost undriveable damaged.
From then on it was all quiet cruising along in 3rd miles behind the front 2 and miles ahead of 4th.
Well done Keith and Yves
Thank You Eric and RD! :good:.
