Format

The RaceDeparment Forum Rally League will be run over a 5 round championship. By comparison to the RaceDepartment rally club these events will be endurance events running between 8 - 12 stages per rally. Stages will mostly be used twice each rally and BTB stages may also be included. All rules from the rally club and RSRBR will stand unless they are superseeded in this forum. The RaceDepartment Rally League will use reduced car damage with the cars being automaticlly repaired after each stage.

Schedule

The RaceDepartment Forum Rally League will run once every 4 weeks in place of that weeks Club Rally event starting on August 30th/31st. As with the rally club 3 times zones will be made available (EU/US/OC) with the times being combined to find an overall winner.

Rd1 - 30th/31st August
Rd2 - 27th/28th Sepember
Rd3 - 25th/26th October
Rd4 - 22nd/23rd November
Rd5 - 20/21st December

Championship

Drivers in the RaceDepartment Forum Rally league will be split into 2 classes. Both classes will compete on the same stages at the same time and will be separated in the points table. Drivers wishing to score points in the championship will have to register by posting in the Rally League thread. Points will only be awarded once the driver has registered. Car choice must be made prior to the first round that the driver contests and may not be changed for the duration of the season unless the drivers class changes. Drivers wishing to score points in the league must be registered members of RaceDepartment Forum.

Class 1 (A) league

"A" League drivers are competing for the outright or overall rally and championship win.

Drivers in "A" league must drive cars from Car Packs A8W03, A8W04 and A8W05.

Class 2 (Premier League)

"Premier" League drives will compete for their own champioship within the series as well as being able to score points for the overall championship

Drivers in "Premier" League will drive cars from car packs N4-1 and N4-2. (Note: Lancia Delta, Ford Escort and Skoda Octavia will not be eligable)

A Driver will automaticlly be classed as a "Premier" League driver unless

1/ The driver has previously won a Rally Club event
2/ The driver chooses to compete in the "A" league
3/ The league "rally directors" deem it necessary to promote a driver in the interests of fare competition.

Note:- If a driver disagrees with their placement in "A" league they can publicly request (in the league thread) for a re-classification to "Premier" league. This will allow any other league driver to object or support them. However the rally directors'decision will be final.

A Premier league driver will be promoted to A league if:

1/ The driver wins a Racedepartment Forum Rally league event outright
This will go into effect from the event where the win happens and from then on

2/ The driver finishes in the top 5 on 3 separate rallies in one season.
This will take effect from the start of the following season

Teams Championship

In addition to the 2 drivers championships a "Teams"'Championship will be conducted. Each team may consist of no more that 2 drivers and MAY NOT contain more than 1 "A" league driver. It is possible to have 2 premier league drivers in the same team. Should a team's driver be promoted from "premier" to "A" league, only the points from the highest finishing team member will be counted toward the teams championship from that event untill the season end. Team name may be chaged at anytime. Once the Championship has started however, it must be post in this thread with as (old team name - New team name)

I am sorry I am spamming this thread all the time, but why isnt this league in leagues part? I mean, there should be Media thread for this, sign ups, chit chat etc., as here all these stuff are going to be forgotten after some pages (I also wanted to add some articles through the league! :) )

I was wondering if it is not possible to give the schedule of the stages only few days before the race day. To have a more realistic championship. In this case, everybody will not make to much times the stages, like in reality, they don't do 10 times each stages before the official race.

(to be more realist, I only do 2 times each stages before the race day, no more in order to add fun)

Great to have you on board Seb and it is a good idea about the time limit for the stages. I have thought about this before and have a couple of issues with it.

1/ Having the rally director driving in the event I have the advantage of knowing what stages will be used anyway, so for fairness I would have to withdraw....................that ain't gonna happen, lol.
2/ Because we don't get the "feel" of the car in the game as you do in real life.
3/ In real life you get to write your OWN pacenotes. If somebody comes up with an easy way to re-write the notes to be completely personel i would go for a limited number of runs on the stage in a heart-beat.

But these are only my objections. lol.

Just to check.

A premier driver ends up 4th overall. He'll get 25 points for 1st in premier, and he'll take 12 points outright. Only the 25 would count, the 12 outright would be lost... forever.
Basically, premier drivers in outright points would just be knocking points off from A league drivers. They will always have more points from the premier points.

I understand that, a premier league driver who finish 4th overall and 1st in his category, will score 25 pts for his premier league championship. 12 pts in the overall championship and 25 pts will be given to his team for the team championship.

Yep Seb, you got it.

And if his team mate finishes 5th premier and 11th outright it would be like this

Driver A - 4th outright/1st Premier(12pts in overall championship) - 1st Premier (25pts in Premier Championship and Teams championship)

Driver B - 11thoutright/5th Premier(no points in overall championship - 5th Premier (21pts in Premier Championship and Teams championship)

I don't understand what does it mean ? How can we have a protest with RBR ?

Oke, let's say that you have a really good time over a stage, with 1 min. record down and you think that no one could beat you and someone comes with a time better than your with over one min. or something, than you might think that someone has done something illegall, cheating and stuff and make a complain. In that case, the race director watches the reply and everything will be clear.
May be will be good to do it like on the French server, beside the complains, to choose each rally randomly 3 drivers to send the replies for checking ( in case the race director has enough time :) ).

I didn't know that some people can cheat in this game. (that breaks the interest of a championship)

yeah Seb, There are someplace where you CAN take very big cuts and it saves you a lots of time but is VERY unrealistic. As i said when i first posted the rules, we needed to cover all possible outcomes of an event, if someone IS cheating then we want to find out and make sure it stops. i really don't think anybody is or will be cheating, but if we didn't have that little rule writen down then they could just say "but i didn't know" and the whole championship turns into a joke.

It's a safe guard against un-sporting behaviour.
