After the most competitive and exciting season of the RaceDepartment Forum Racing history, Season 17, here we begin an all-new season. Let's see how will be the battle of the customized teams! After his fantastic moderatorship, Bradley Vanian returns to the field of amazing racers consist of the last years champion Jean-Froncis Godin, runner-up James Chant, early standings leaders Thomas Hackel and Hiroshi Awazu. After these names, old champion drivers Garry Pullen and Linus Broström might return to their former glory. And there is always possibilty of a surprise rookiee!

Joining
Unlike the previous seasons, this season we will have customized teams. Please go to this thread and create yourself a team. Or join an already formed team by replying here.

The Races
The Sprint Race
At random times, I will start races (GO GO GO), and when a race starts you will have to reply in this thread as soon as possible with the word "finish". Whoever says "finish" first wins!

The Feature Race
This race is a little longer, but not so hard. After the start is announced, players must post ‘Start’ as quickly as possible.
Then they must wait for one (1) hour, then post ‘pit’.
Then they must wait for another hour before posting ‘finish’ to end the race.
The first person to post ‘start’ will receive 3 points as a “pole bonus”. Those pitting/finishing too early (before the hour have passed) will be handed a penalty of 1 hour added to their finishing time per each minute early they post, unless you post again after the hour has passed. If your finishing time exceeds the time of the finish of the race, in which case you will be DQ’ed.

Race Times Tip
If a race is started on a specific hour, let's say 09:00, there will not be another race started at that time again.

So the Mercedes team has finally confirmed sponsorship from Skype, who have purchased all advertising rights to the team, meaning the official name will be Team Skype-Mercedes,

Only myself confirmed as a driver so far, but with rumours surfacing that 3 drivers may be allowed per team, 2 more driver spaces are available.

It might be an interesting change and might increase the competitiveness. Please people who support 3 drivers per team rule like this post.
6 likes will be enough for the change
