Here is my guide how to do race vids:
Get fraps (
http://www.fraps.com)
Get virtualdub (from
http://portableapps.com/apps).
1. Launch game, fraps, and virtualdub.
2. Load your replay.
3. Start the replay and press F9; fraps will start recording. F9 stops recording.
4. Load your first fraps clip into into virtualdub. Trim it if you like.
5. Film your next clip with fraps and add it to your video using 'File, Append' in in virtualdub. Trim it if you like.
6. Repeat.
7. When you have your entire race in one big video in virtualdub, do your final trimming.
8. Choose video, compression.
9. Choose file, save as avi.
10. If you don't want music upload the video and share it.
11. If you want music add it using Windows Movie Maker or similar (virtualdub can add music via audio swap but you loose engine sound).
