RACE - Caterham Expansion Pack for FREE

Unconfirmed rumour heard today. The Caterham expansion pack will be released for FREE on june 22 for the dedicated RACE - The WTCC Game fans. You can use the free expansion on a one week trial. When you download it after that week you will be able to purchase a full re>>fuel expansion for only $4.95 through Steam.

In the German translation is nothing mentioned about Unlimited period

Only unlimited playable... So I guess they mean: You can play the caterhams for a full week without limits which you normally found in a demo.

Bereits im Januar hatten sich die schwedischen Entwickler eine ähnliche Aktion ausgedacht: Ein Wochenende lang boten Sie das Hauptprogramm Race zum kostenlosen Download über Steam an. Im Gegensatz zum jetzigen Angebot war nach vier Tagen freier Fahrt über die Rennkurse jedoch wieder Schluss.

Translated:
"Even in January the swedish developers came up with a similar action:
Over one weekend the main programm RACE has been offered as a free download.
In comparison to the current action it ended already after 4 days of trial."

So this sounds to me pretty much of a regular trial-marketing.
What's a good idea, because they will definetly make sure that the addon
will be bought after trail if its only for 5 bucks.
As long as the quality of Caterham-addon will be as flawless as RACE has been.

But i wouldn't expect the trial to be free.

I am not a German but "unbegrenzt" imo means unlimited

It is 99% meant as "unlimited features".
Means, offline, online, training, time attack, quali, race (full length).

After 1 week you'll have to pay it to play it - that i am convinced of.

Honestly you must be dreaming if you think any developer has to
throw something out for free.

Not even the lousy Euro-Pack of BF2 was it.
10 or 15 bucks was it, if I remember right.

So if it is true that it would only be 5 $,
then you'll have your gift - because it's really cheap.

Oh, and don't forget it is explicietely mentioned that this report is
nothing but rumors.

well there was 1 developer that actually trowed out a free (& really good) independence addon
splash damage (& with id software & activition) Wolfenstein: Enemy Territory

so never say never...because dreams sometimes can come true

Again, believe me, it will be free if you download it in the first week. After that you have to pay but once downloaded it keeps on working.

It will be free, i read it on several sites. And i also feel a bit Yin Yang, ding ding, und habe einem Spitzenfingergefuhl.

I will eat my car if we will not get it for free.

A bit off topic of course
But I think Enemy Territory was cancelled and was made public for free as it is. But maybe I am thinking of another game.
