Incidents

Before going straight to the incidents verdicts take into account that there has been some rule changes this year regarding the penalty system and it may seem that penalties are harsher than previous years.

This year with the introduction of the Safety Rating value every driver gets 0.25 SR for aclean race (2 Races per Weekend).
That means that if a driver has a penalty of 1.5 penalty points he will be able to recover those penalty points doing 6 clean races (3 Race Weekends) while the previous years the driver had to do 5 consecutive clean races (5 Weekends) in order to “erase” his penalty points.

Incident #1
Driver(s) Involved: Artyom Aslamazyan, Borja Garcia, Renan Lopes, Luca Desi
Lap/Replay Time: Race 1 / Lap 1
Protest Description: Garcia forgot launch control causing a crash and ruining several drivers race.
Verdict: Launch Control was used. Garcia turns into Lopes, who is already beside of him, and causes incident at start affecting Aslamazyan and Desi. -1.50 Penalty Points and Start from Pits at Round 10 Feature Race for Garcia.


Incident #2
Driver(s) Involved: Artyom Aslamazyan, Chris de Jong, Patrick Holzmann
Lap/Replay Time: Race 2 / lap 3 / 0:30
Protest Description: In second chicane Artyom was kicked and spun causing positions lost, car damage and ruined race.
Verdict: Chris de Jong turns into Holzmann, causing loss of control and a wreck into the chicane, and loss of several positions for Aslamazyan. -1.50 Penalty Points.


Incident #3
Driver(s) Involved: Martin Hodás, Danny van der Niet
Lap/Replay Time: Race 2 / Lap 5/ 0:10
Protest Description: Van der Niet trying to dive back for P1. Giving no space to Hodas on the outside for T2. Resulting in lost position and possible overtaking position for Conti into T3.
Verdict: Danny van der Niet had the corner, a bit of a divebomb though. Unofficial warning to van der Niet, divebombing is discouraged and the outcome could have been worse. No further action.


Incident #4
Driver(s) Involved: Martin Hodás, Marco Conti
Lap/Replay Time: Race 2 / Lap 7 /1:23
Protest Description: Conti trying to overtake Hodas. Moved from slipstream too late and hitted him in 290 kph speed.
Verdict: Conti failed to avoid contact. Official Warning for Conti. No further action.
