Incidents

Before going straight to the incidents verdicts take into account that there has been some rule changes this year regarding the penalty system and it may seem that penalties are harsher than previous years.

This year with the introduction of the Safety Rating value every driver gets 0.25 SR for aclean race (2 Races per Weekend).
That means that if a driver has a penalty of 1.5 penalty points he will be able to recover those penalty points doing 6 clean races (3 Race Weekends) while the previous years the driver had to do 5 consecutive clean races (5 Weekends) in order to “erase” his penalty points.

Several Incidents were similar. I gave more of a penalty for those that cost more time.

In the interest of transparency I did judge Giordano Valeriano's protest.

Incident #1
Driver(s) Involved Marco Conti / Norbert Leitner
Lap/Replay Time Race 1 - Lap 3 - Laptime 0:02
Protest Description Conti tries to overtake Leitner on the inside but hits him from behind, resulting in a half spin and a registered track cutting. It also caused severe wear on Leitner's tyres and the loss of 2 positions.
Verdict: Conti causes contact. It is the responsibility of the driver behind to make a clean pass. -1.00 PP for Conti.

Incident #2
Driver(s) Involved Danny van der Niet, Alex Diaz
Lap/Replay Time R1/L3/1:11
Protest Description Danny brakes too late, hits Alex, who spins and loses 5 places.
Verdict: Diaz locks up because of battle with Celiento, van der Niet tries to avoid contact but has nowhere to go. Racing Incident.

Incident #3
Driver(s) Involved Fabrizio Gobbi / Norbert Leitner
Lap/Replay Time Race 1 - Lap 5 - Laptime 0:48
Protest Description
Drivers are arriving to the braking point of the hairpin. Gobbi brakes late and hits Leitner, who loses 8 positions and the sim registers it as track cutting (2nd
time, after Conti's incident), causing Leitner to receive a Stop-and-go
penalty because someone hit him.
Verdict: Looks like Gobbi intends to pass at the hairpin. Gobbi makes contact. It is the responsibility of the driver behind to make a clean pass. -1.00 PP for Gobbi.

Incident #4
Driver(s) Involved Jiri Toman / Thomas Mundy
Lap/Replay Time Race 2 - Lap 1
Protest Description Toman rejoins track unsafely on exit of Turn 2, causing Mundy rear suspension damage.
Verdict: No contact between Toman and Mundy. No further action.

Incident #5
Driver(s) Involved Jiri Toman, Alex Diaz
Lap/Replay Time R2/L7/0:39
Protest Description Jiri hits Alex who spins and loses the place and time.
Verdict: Toman has part of his car beside Diaz, Diaz must leave room on the inside. No further action.

Incident #6
Driver(s) Involved Thomas Satherley / Norbert Leitner
Lap/Replay Time Race 2 - Lap 16 - Laptime 0:06
Protest Description In Turn 2, Leitner tries to overtake Satherley on the outside, with fresher tyres. He tries to have a good acceleration out of corner, and they were side by side. Satherley forced Leitner out of the track and into the grass.
Verdict: Satherly forces Leitner off the track. Causes Leitner to lose time. -0.50 PP for Satherly.

Incident #7
Driver(s) Involved: Giordano Valeriano, Norbert Leitner
Lap/Replay Time: Race 2 Lap 18 from the minute 0:44.
Protest Description: Leitner causes Valeriano to spin
Verdict: Valeriano comes across the track and causes contact, causing himself to spin. -0.50 for Valeriano.

Protests below are my own, for general lack of common sense and 1st corner incidents.

Race Director Incident #1 (1st corner penalties)
Drivers Involved: Jiri Toman, Gennaro Celiento
Lap/Replay Time: Race 2 Turn 1-2
Description: 1st Corner Incident/Both drivers off track, do not safely navigate to return to track.
Verdict: Official Warning for both drivers for behavior off track. Also tied to Incident #4.
