Race #3 China: Pre-Race Briefing

Welcome to the third round of the FSR PRO Championship. The password for today is on GPCOS in the Control Center next to the server's IP address.

No cutting exceptions for China
http://www.racedepartment.com/threads/fsr-2015-cut-extending-exceptions.103214/

DO NOT USE VIRTUAL TEAMS!!!
Delete all *.rcd files from your player/settings/FSR_2015 folder!!

Anyone joining an official race with a virtual team will get a RACE BAN. This is extremely important issue that can cause lag and people not to join!!!

Schedule:
Sunday, 13:00GMT, Server Opens for PQ
Sunday, 13:05GMT, Pre-Qualifying
Sunday, 13:20GMT, Practice
Sunday, 13:35GMT, Qualifying 1
Sunday, 13:45GMT, Qualifying 2
Sunday, 13:50GMT, Warmup
Sunday, 14:00GMT, Race Start

With regard to Post-Race Checks from Malaysia, my apologies for the lateness I will post them as soon as I can hopefully within next few hours but from early signs there are no cuts in qualifying from Malaysia and noone will have yet reduced all their safety rating however Renan Lopes needs to be careful as his is low. Please be aware of each other and don't try to win the race on the first lap.

The Free Practice session will be 10 minutes in length and will be run in the "Practice 1" session. Every participating driver should join as soon as possible after the server opens to make sure that they don't miss the start of Qualifying and also to make sure that their game is configured & working properly.

The Qualifying 1 session will be 10 minutes in length and will be run in the "Practice 2" session. Drivers can use what ever setup they want, as long as they only drive with qualifying fuel loads.

The Qualifying 2 session will be 5 minutes in length. Only the top 10 drivers from Qualifying 1 will be allowed to go out on track. Drivers will be allowed to do one flying lap (one outlap, hotlap and inlap). The drivers will all be on track at the same time eg not private. Parc Ferme will be enforced. You will only be allowed to change your fuel load, engine boost, engine brakemap, front wing angle, steering lock, brake balance and brake pressure after the session is over, so make sure you have your race setup loaded when entering Qualifying 2. The session will be closed, meaning if you happen to join late, or for some reason drop out of the server during the session, you will not be able to rejoin the server until the server has moved to Warmup.

The Warmup session will be 10 minutes in length. While in the garage, make sure you add the appropriate amount of fuel in to your car since refuelling is not allowed during the race. You can drive freely in the Warmup session to try to get a feel for the heavier car after qualifying on low fuel.

The Race will be 34 laps long. Drive carefully during the race, especially at the start and first lap in general.

Red Flags will NOT be used unless in very specific situations which are specified in the rule documents.

My computer broke last week so I've been setting things back up again but I will post the post-race checks for Malaysia as soon as I can once I've set everything up again and consulted with other directors to make sure we get consistency from the permanent directors this year. As I said above though it seems there were no cuts in Malaysia in Qualifying. Incidents that were protested will be reviewed but noone has lost their licence yet as SRs are still too high for that but be careful with your driving.

Thomas I think I speak for everybody when I say if you had just posted that you were having issues we would have all understood...computers are fickle things aren't they!:)

Anyways GL HF all today, and can we please not play Tallahassee Derby Driver on the first corner?:p

That Q1 session was a nightmare. I was blocked again and again and so had to start from near the back which was really disastrous.

Why was everyone allowed to qualify? Perhaps we should stick to the rules in the future. And if we're going to bend the rules then maybe we should split the Q1 session into 2 groups.

I want to apolgise to @Mihajlo Vićentijević and to my team mate Pascal Chapon.

I was running ok in P15 early on. Lost concentratyion and and messed T1, hit Mihaljo and took some damage myself. Decided to repair it T first stop (18 sec stop) got a stop go for speeding, then didn't know I could do it and the repair together and stopped twice. On the second stop I got fresh tyres as well to replace my ones that had an outlap on them.
Then while trying to process all of that in my tiny brain I saw Pascal but thought i saw him moving out of the box (EDIT: in fact it wasnt my imagination, Pacal saw 2 pit boxes illuminated and had to test them one by one, the first one didnt work andwhat I saw was him leaving that box and moving forwards but only to the next box. My assumption that he was leaving the pits was the mother of all *ups) so thought on the limiter I would be ok, ran into him ruining his race and losing a front wing. 2 min lap later. More repairs 20 sec this time. Then I filtered back in 2 laps behind P1..
David O'Reilly: so it was P28, then by the end with various people leaving it was P18 I think.

So I want to award myself the dunce award this week.

This. I couldn't get a clean lap in and was 1.5s down on my best time. First time around someone passed me while I was leaving space to the car in front and then drives super slow the whole lap....comon guys....

Brake pedal broke on lap 3. Sorry if I scared someone, it fixed itself then but sometimes worked very strangely. Shame, top 10 finish looked like a formality today.

Yeah I saw that, we were making some room for the lap and that guy just dives through and goes P24.
