Protest: Kanitz punts Room from behind while in the middle of turn 8, spinning him around making Room drop from 6th to 14th. This cost Room the chance to stay in the battle for a top 6 finish.
Verdict: Room his the corner in an unoptimal angle after fighting Patel, thus having a somewhat slower apex speed than normally, but at no point is there any sudden braking taking place — the car behind should have been able to react and adjust his speed accordingly. Additionally, the situation was almost identical a lap earlier, where both cars came through the corner just fine. +15 seconds race time penalty and 0.5 penalty points to Kanitz.
