Race #14, UAE: Post-Race Checks

There is 1 strange thing about this rule:

Lets say I made an error in the beginning of a lap, losing +- 10s. The next chicane, I cut and I aim to regain 8s, so that my total lost time is 2s, is this legal? In the end I did a cut, and my laptime was slower than the suggested benchmark .

Of course I know the answer on this one, but is it included in the rules?

Yes.. That's why I said that this rule has to be change from next year. You will spin in T1 and loose 10 sec.. then you will cut 2-3 chicanes and will improve 8 sec from your spin and this will be counted as legal.. because your lap will be slower than 101.5%.

Intentionaly cutting will be penalized severly, last year in WT someone did a short cut in Korea and i think he got a race ban if im right. I dont think every scenario has to be in the rules though,.... how do they say that..... common sence ??
