Penalty Modifications for Circuit of the Americas
This being the last race, normal Grid and Safety Rating Penalties will not carry over to the next race. The following will be the penalty conversions:
Minor Qualifying Cut = 30 Second Race Penalty
Major Qualifying Cut = 60 Second Race Penalty
If you do cut or feel like you have, you may Start from the Pitlane to offset these Penalties (Feature Race Only). A major cut will still bring a time penalty (although reduced if Pitlane start). A cut during Q2, you may start from 10th place (or in order of your Q1 time if multiple drivers take this option) IF you let the Race Director know before the session moves on. A notification during Warm-up will be too late and you will have to start from the Pitlane. Extra time will be allowed before the session moves on to review your fastest lap. A major cut may still incur a time penalty.
For every 0.50 Penalty Point = 15 Seconds time added to your Race time.
If you feel you may be subject to this, a Drive-through Penalty may be taken to offset each 0.50 Penalty Point. This drive-through must be manually taken, not given by the simulation or by request from the Race Director during the race. You MUST private message the Race Director through RaceDepartment after the race with the lap that you served this penalty. This may be supplemented with a post on the forum, but a private message must be sent.

Raceday Schedule:
Prequalifying will not take place.
The Free Practice session will be 15 minutes in length. Every participating driver should join as soon as possible after the server opens to make sure that they don't miss the start of Qualifying and also to make sure that their game is configured & working properly.
Qualifying will be split to two sessions (10 + 5 minutes). Both sessions will run in non-private mode (all cars will be visible on track at the same time). Qualifying 1 will be run with free setup while Qualifying 2 has Parc Ferme enforced. Parc Ferme will only allow you to change your fuel load, tire compound, engine boost, engine brakemap, front wing angle, steering lock, brake balance and brake pressure after the session is over, so make sure you have your race setup loaded when entering Qualifying 2. Qualifying 2 session will be closed, this means that it will impossible for people to join while the session is running.
The Warmup 1 session will be 10 minutes in length. You can drive freely in the Warmup session to try to get a feel for the heavier car after qualifying on low fuel.
The Race 1 will be 34 laps long. Drive safely during the race, especially at the start and the first lap in general.
Warmup 2 will resume after Race 1 and will last 10 minutes.
Race 2 will be 17 laps long, and will invert the first eight finishers in Race 1.
Red Flags will NOT be used unless in very specific situations which are specified in the rule documents.
