Welcome to the 1st race of the 2015 Formula SimRacing PRO series at Melbourne/Australia.

The password to join the server will be visible when you log in to
GPCOS in the Control Center next to the server's IP address.

Before proceeding to the event, pay attention to the following:
  • Read the general rules here and the PRO Division rules here.
  • Remember to join the game with the FSR Manager software running, and follow the post race procedures here.
  • Make sure all your technical stuff (PC, Wheel, Connection etc) is working and every background app which could increase your ping is closed.
  • 1) Melbourne T4 exit you can extend over the yellow/grey line according to red marked area in attached picture below. T4 exit curb and rest of track normal cut rules apply (please study the rulebook before the race if you are still unsure about what is a cut).
    2) The Exit of Turn 12 may be extended (where the white/yellow line is below). The grasscrete on exit does NOT count as track. When the line reappears that will be the track limits.

  • Important Note:
Please send in your skin and helmet(optional) to:
    villeneuve53@msn.com
    or
    david53@grecodavid.com

In the SUBJECT line of your email put "Division - Team"
Example: Pro Series - Avid Chronic Racing

Each team will need 2 car liveries and 2 helmet liveries(optional)

If the Skins arrive before Friday, they will be integrated in the Mod. There is a realistic chance that Skin Transfer will be completly disabled on Race Day due to heavy problems with the Skin Transfer and the new build. Please pay attention and send in your skin!

    DO NOT USE VIRTUAL TEAMS!!!
Delete all *.rcd files from your player/settings/FSR_2015 folder!!

Anyone joining an official race with a virtual team will get a RACE BAN. This is extremely important issue that can cause lag and people not to join!!!

Formula SimRacing PRO 2015 time table:
>>>Actual GMT Time: click here<<<

Sunday, 13:25 GMT: G1 Practice
Sunday, 13:35 GMT: G1 Qualifying 1
Sunday, 13:45 GMT: G1 Qualifying 2
Sunday, 13:50 GMT: G1 Warmup
Sunday, 14:00 GMT: G1 Race Start

The Free Practice session will be 10 minutes in length and will be run in the "Practice 1" session. Every participating driver should join as soon as possible after the server opens to make sure that they don't miss the start of Qualifying and also to make sure that their game is configured & working properly.

Qualifying will be split to two sessions (10 + 5 minutes). Both sessions will run in non-private mode (all cars will be visible on track at the same time). Qualifying 1 will be run with free setup while Qualifying 2 has Parc Ferme enforced. Parc Ferme will only allow you to change your fuel load, tire compound, engine brakemap, front wing angle, steering lock, brake balance and brake pressure after the session is over, so make sure you have your race setup loaded when entering Qualifying 2. Qualifying 2 session will be closed, this means that it will impossible for people to join while the session is running.

The Warmup session will be 10 minutes in length. While in the garage, make sure you add the appropriate amount of fuel into your car since refuelling is not allowed during the race. You can drive freely in the Warmup session to try to get a feel for the heavier car after qualifying on low fuel.

The Race will be 35 laps long. Drive safely during the race, especially at the start and the first lap in general.

Red Flags will NOT be used unless in very specific situations which are specified in the rule documents.

Is there a practice server available to join. For some reason in single player it feels like I am going about 50 mph due to some bug.

Tried turning off pit limiter? ;) I used to have a bug where car was going really slowly but it was due to lag caused by an excessive number of ai cars. Could be your graphics are too high with lots of ai?

Yep pit limiter was still on...

Another important note:
Melbourne T4 exit you can extend over the yellow/grey line according to red marked area in attached picture below. T4 exit curb and rest of track normal cut rules apply (please study the rulebook before the race if you are still unsure about what is a cut).
http://www.racedepartment.com/threads/melbourne-t4-cut-exception.93282/
There should be exception also for fast S exit, shouldnt be?
Cuts will remain as last year. So Yes.
