Incidents

#1 Henning Cordes - Mattias Stahre- T10 Lap 1

Protest: Cordes brakes way too late and hits rear of Stahre who gets terminal damage on the rear suspension and suffers with it with whole race.

Verdict: Cordes misses the braking point and enters with significantly more speed than cars around him, resulting in moderately heavy contact from behind and visible damage for Stahre. 1 penalty point and 30 seconds race time penalty for Cordes.

#2 Pablo Garcia - Lukas Euler - T12 Lap 16

Protest: Lukas crash in my rear after the long straight.

Verdict: Garcia, after being overtaken by Kerkhof, gets hit by Euler from behind into T12 and suffers considerable damage. The replay, however, shows that Garcia started braking approximately 30m earlier than cars on the same lap, possibly due to his damage. Euler starts braking in tact with others, if not slightly earlier than normally. Racing incident.

#3 Mattias Stahre - Jack Keithley- T18 Lap 8

Protest: Jack & Mattias are heading into turn 18 with Jack in-front after making a pass the corner before. Jack goes into the tight corner, but Mattias is to close to the rear of Jack and touches his rear left wheel with his front wing slightly, which sends Jack's car of balance, and he crashes into both walls as a result, which causes terminal damage.

Verdict: Keithley is ahead approaching the corner but Stahre pulls alongside just before the apex. Keithley cannot be expected to react quickly enough to avoid contact, and the move of Stahre was very optimistic, considering the fast and narrow corner. The incident caused terminal damage for Keithley. However, the initial contact between the cars was only slight. Hence, 0.5 penalty points and 15 seconds race time penalty to Stahre.

#4 Nick Rowland - Marco Conti- T1 Lap 16

Protest: Nick Rowland brakes way too late and divebombs into the corner, hitting Conti very hard that gave Conti's car a lot of damage.

Verdict: Conti enters turn 1 a car ahead of Rowland, but Rowland, due to extremely late start of the braking, is unable to avoid Conti despite a good attempt, resulting in moderate, but not huge contact. 1 penalty point for Rowland.

#5 Pablo Garcia - Alban Deslie- T12 Lap 16

Protest: Alban crash in my rear after the long straight without made any attempt to brake or lift throttle.

Verdict: A similar scenario as in incident #2, i.e. Garcia gets hit while braking into T12, this time causing him terminal damage. Garcia is again a little early on braking, but Deslie on the contrary starts braking much too late. 1.5 penalty points and 30 seconds race time penalty for Deslie.

#6 Stefan Kanitz - Cyril Werdmuller - T17 Lap 39

Protest: On the run to the hairpin, Cyril was close behind me. He missed the braking point and hit me as leading car. Destroyed my race and a better position

Verdict: Kanitz is closely followed by Werdmuller on the straight leading into T17. Kanitz defends slightly to the right, Werdmuller lifts and stays right behind, but consequently misses the braking point into the corner, leading into heavy contact and loss of victory chances for Kanitz. 1 penalty point and 15 seconds race time penalty to Werdmuller for causing the incident.

#7 Florian Bekker - Dimitri De Matos - T14 Lap 42

Protest: Bekker pushes De Matos wide giving him no room on the outside.

Verdict: Bekker and De Matos enter T14 alongside with Bekker on the inside. Bekker has the right to choose his line but understeers somewhat wide, causing small but unavoidable contact and forcing De Matos to yield. Official warning to Bekker.

#8 Florian Bekker - Dimitri De Matos - Lap 45

Protest: 78:20 - Bekker tries to overtake De Matos and when side by side Bekker hits De Matos on the side of his car. 78:39 - Later, De Matos was trying an overtake move on Bekker and when De Matos already had the front of his car at the side of Bekker's car, Bekker just turns completely to the right, hitting De Matos that luckily didn't loose his front wing.

Verdict: Bekker overtakes De Matos on the backstraight into T12 and steers slightly left, causing a second contact between two, but no damage. Bekker is ahead into T16 but De Matos keeps his front wing just parallel, which Bekker does not observe and cuts across. 1 penalty point for Bekker from the incidents above (mainly the last one), and considering the warning from protest #7.

#9 Cyril Werdmuller - Karim Wezenberg T24 Lap 57

Protest: Wezenberg passes Werdmuller on the final lap, Wezenberg gives Werdmuller space to repass at the start of sector 3, and at the final corner Wezenberg and Werdmuller are side by side, and Werdmuller hits and pushes Wezenberg wide, giving no room to Wezenberg on the outside, preventing him to try an overtake on the outside and fight for the win with Werdmuller until the checkered flag.

Verdict: Werdmuller brakes somewhat early, Wezenberg pulls alongside and takes the outside line. Werdmuller doesn't deviate from his normal racing line significantly, but the corner is too narrow for two cars to exit alongside, hence the small contact. Racing incident.
