PC1 Project CARS Screenshots

Slightly Mad Studios' Head of Development Ian Bell unveiled a new render of their upcoming community funded simulation game C.A.R.S.. The render is showing a Le Mans Protoype Audi R18 TDI in a fictional livery.

Although the idea of Community Assisted Race Sim sounds very innovative and spectacular there are still a lot of questions unanswered. We hope to have more insights on this upcoming simulation soon.

In the meantime enjoy some other screenshots on the forum.

Would you be interested in funding a developer and in exchange have your say in the development process of the product. Or is it just a tactic to get a studio funded that lacks a publisher/investor?

Girlfriend created a skin for me. It's not done yet but it's certainly looking nice, I think. Yeah, she calls me "Panda". I eat a lot and try to keep my mood balanced.

She studied arts & design.

I'll post more tomorrow and even more once she's satisfied with the result.

@seena I keep asking myself how people get this kind of quality - even tho most claim there's no editing involved, I can hardly believe that.

@darkdeus How do you get it so smooth? I've been messing around with AA settings but there's always some jaggies somewhere. I'm sure it's a issue on my end but I can't figure out what ><

Well he claims it's unedited. And I've far less aliased gfx in BF3 than pCARS atm so I suspect it's a error on my part. These AA settings etc are all gibberish to me, I just crank it all to "max" and go play

hey thanks tjc! They are unedited shots but i play at 1440p on a 1080p monitor with 8x MSAA and FXAA to get rid of the jaggies. That's exactly how it looks ingame when I play though.

How do you go about getting 1440p on a 1080p monitor? 0o

Edit: Also, what track is that with the brick house/wall?

I just go into my nvidia control panel and make a custom 1440p resolution. I then am able to select this resolution in any games I play and it works fine. I think it depends on your monitor though, i know some have issues with it.
That track is the azure coast track. I think it's only available for team member and up.

I tried the test function in the nvidia panel using 1440p, not working, dunno if it'll work ingame though. I just ran Azure and found some similar houses yeah, but not that particular one. Gonna run it again ^^

Found the house!

While things look pretty damn awesome on my game I don't get the same sense of "real" as I do watching your shots, I wonder what makes the difference. ><
