Processor affinity

I'm currently running some large simulations on my computer. Right now I run 2 simulations. I set the processor affinity so that each simulation got one core each (I got quad core processor, no overclocking). So now two cores are running at 100% and I use the other two for other stuff such as GTL, music and movies.

I was wondering if this is "healthy" for the processor or if shouldn't use CPU affinity and let Windows spread the load (takes a little more time to do the simulations this way)

Thanks in advance
