Precision Motorsports Silverstone Preview

After WC victories at Montreal and Valencia Precision Motorsports aims for continued success at the newbuilt Silverstone circuit; a track which provides a new challenge comparing to the two earlier circuits, both for the drivers and the car setup. The progress of the team, both in World Trophy, World Series and World Championship can be followed on Facebook throughout the weekend. In the following we present the onboard lap by Bono Huis and selected comments.

Bono Huis commented:
"I am looking forward to this race, even though we didn't have a very good preperation. We have been struggling with the setup so far, so I don't think it will be as easy as in Valencia or Canada. We have already seen this year that Twister is very fast on the high speed tracks, so this is going to be a difficult race. Still a good result should be possible."

Ondrej Kuncman, Precision Motorsports team manager commented:
"It has been challenging last 2 weeks. We surely haven't done as good job as we would have wanted so we are anticipating a really difficult weekend. On the other hand our race pace should be competitive as usually. Overtaking isn't too difficult here so the only concern will be increased probability of incidents when starting further back in the field. Hopefully we have a bit more luck this time and not lose any more points in championships."

John-Eric Saxen, Precision Motorsports License co-owner commented:
"Silverstone provides a substantially different challenge compared to the last tracks raced on due to the dominating high-speed corners. The majority of testing time has been spent trying to accommodate these features into the setup and, as always, put the focus on race pace early on, where tire wear boosts a potentially big challenge. After a few rounds of fantastic performing it will be challenging to present the same kind of raw speed here, but I'm positive that the slight loss in one lap pace can be won in race consistency. As always the race should be entertaning, and hopefully it involves less hazards for our drivers than the previous round."
