What is the optimal temperature for brakes? I did a little practice yesterday and I noticed in the replay, that most of the time, the front brake disc was red, very red, or very very red :)
So I checked the temperatures, and the top is around 800 °C, but most of the time it is around 400-500 °C and on the end of the longer straights it is around 200 °C. I know, that this temperatures are normal for F1 car, but don't know if it is normal for GT cars too. Thanks

Everyone should bare in mind that winning this race or even finishing the race will not be about overtaking as many cars as possible in the first lap.

Advice for all

At the start if the car ahead is slower than you pounce and take that position but as you are leading to the first few turns behind a car just hold your position. You could end up losing more than you bargained for by trying to overtake as many cars in the initial lap.

Regular endurancer's are familiar with what I am saying I'm sure.

Good luck all. I have been gearing for this race for sometime. Now that F1 league is over I need to inject myself with an endurance race fix.

you not run the XD add in which gives all the temps of the car and mpg for fuel etc ?

http://www.vitumo.de/

try XD motec (you can found here: http://www.vitumo.de/) you will see that the brake bar is green at the optimum temperature and it will be red in the bad temperature usually!!! ;)

- thank you, it looks very useful :thumb:

I will not use it in this race, because it is only one hour to official practice and if something goes wrong...but I will check this useful add-on next time
