For damp situations, just a softer rear and brake bias more to the rear is usually the trick for setup. Brake earlier and accelerate smoother. Try for a "rounder" approach to the apex, usually with a slightly earlier entry. Short-shift.

For real wet situations, definitely wet tires, everything above in spades, perhaps raise the car height a little, lower tire pressure a wee bit. Perhaps more wing to keep the rear more stable. Depending on your gearing, you may want to lengthen certain gears to help from spinning tires.

well where do i start
pretty much everything that could go wrong went wrong short of getting dqed and dnfed
race 1: limiter kept coming on for no reason whatsoever and ended up behind a few cars as they spun but just kept getting a turn wrong per lap and was never in contention
race 2: better start and got up the inside of a few people but then i collided with someone and left me in the gravel at turn 3/4/5 i donno but the hairpin
then spent most of the time getting out the way or trying to
spun infront of the leader one time and it was abit scary and had a big turn 1 accedent just randomly got a puncture and then lost it into the wall at 150mph + had about 7 pitstops but eventually finished.

thanks to peter for the setup and general advise

grats to all podiums and gl next week in the lottery

I am not particularly fast round TI Circuit Aida as I still like to call it , so for qualifying I ramped up the camber and reduced my pressures to get as much grip as possible as I didn't fancy starting in the middle.

It worked before Nicholas robbed me of 1st :frown:

Got a pretty average start and Hanyik passed me round the outside of T1. From there is was pretty much a case of hold position with about a .7 second gap between each of the top 5 or 6. On lap 5 Nicholas got as bit of love from Hanyik and immediately dived into the pits. Hanyik pitted a lap later and I went in on lap 8. I had no preset to only change my fronts so I wasted 2-3 seconds navigating the menu which cost me first place as I came out behind the leading pack in 4th. Nicholas was suffering a little, might have been damage or that early pitstop so once Matt got past he was gone. Me and Peter were struggling to get past but we did eventually thanks to Nicholas running wide. We were closing in on Matt towards the end and at Revolver he got hit by a back-marker who wouldn't yield and then lost first to Peter. I was saying in TS3 that I wouldn't try to pass but I guess Peter couldn't take the risk so he did pass for 1st. So I came 3rd in the end, so not too bad.

Second race, crap start. Matt was past me through T1 and from then on in it was just like the first race. Matt and Emil were trading places but I only got close enough once to make a move but I got shut out through Revolver. Coming into the pits I was just behind Emil but Nicholas had made a mistake so coming up to the line I was really close and I couldn't react in time to stop my car as he hit the brakes on the pitline. Sorry for the hit, especially if it what made you leave but I am very aggresive when entering the pits. I left the pits in 3th, behind Emil and Chris. I didn't know what he was doing as he was really slow so I ended up losing my advantage on Matt and the position. Then it was business as usual, the top 4 didn't really change until the end. Was a pretty hairy moment with a 407 decided to take a spin down the straight, nearly hitting Matt but aside from that, fairly serene racing.

Oh and people need to 1. Not talk duing the race and 2. Learn where the pit entrance is

Good nights racing and I look forward to not getting a BMW in next weeks lottery

I like to see that everybody is enjoining these Porsche Mobil 1 club matches and every week the grid is almost full.

See you all next week, same car, other track...

Yeah, it's sooo fun accelerating out (pedal to the metal) of corners with that happy tail and huge amount of grip... meanwhile shouting "powwweeeeer" Clarkson style:bang:
After modifying that weird base setup (negative front toe, push brake bias to the front a lot, proper ride height) the Porsche becomes a very nice car...:D

I apologize for my first race yesterday, I have created many problems.
I got to the race without ever having shot and then did not know the circuit and we have seen.

I apologize for Cogotti touched in race 1, after various struggles, I managed to get 10.

Then in race 2 I was hoping to do better, but they accidentally touching the wall and create a new stop, you see that just was not the right day.

Congratulations to all the podium, you were really elusive.

Sorry for my English.

See you at the next race. Bye :doublethumb:
