PC1 PC versus PS4 - which to buy on?

Hi all, I recently got into racing games (through GRID: Autosport) and absolutely love it. I noticed that Project CARS is coming out very soon and judging from the track and car list it's pretty much a must buy for me.

I was wondering 1 thing which I can't find any information about:
- will there be proper anti-cheat software for the PC release?
- is it possible to cheat on the PS4?

As far as I know it's not possible to hack/ cheat in PS4 games, so personally I might want to buy it for the PS4. I do however love the mod support the PC platform has and I've got a killer PC with an occulus rift which might pair better than with the PS4.

I can't find anything about the anti-cheat support on PC and would regret buying it for PC if it ends up like the support GRID: AS has (literally: none... you have to email videos of cheaters to codemasters and hope they take action which they don't..)

Kind regards and see you on the tracks soon hopefully!

Well pCARS will defiently have cheat protection with steam support. And comparing it with any grid title is..well wrong :D If you will play it with steering wheel than buy good pc, soo you can handle nice graphics. This game is really good with wheel, i tried it with gamepad and it sucked.
In grid autosport i can easily play it with gamepade, but not pCARS.

i7-4770k 3,5 ghz
32 gb ram
780 TI DCII x2 (SLI)
will I be able to run it on ultra with that?
also using thrustmaster t500rs right now so I expect those to work very well with the game?

I know GRID is more arcade-ish, but was more or less to say how I got into racing games lol (lost my driving license for 6 months so I had to find some way to race haha)

Have you tried pCARS lately, they have given a lot of focus to gamepad control. They are testing various pre-sets (0-3) and I find it very easy to race now where some months ago I thought it sucked. And I am a wheel racer, I just use a gamepad (360 or X1 gamepad) to quickly test some of the builds.

That should run pCARS very well. I'm running triples with a single GTX 780 and an i7 @ 4 GHz with a TX and T3PA pedals. While I can't run everything on HIGH/ULTRA it still looks very good, it should run MUCH better if not running triples. They've been optimizing and its getting better every day, I can even run weather now, but I don't think SLI or CrossFire is working well yet. You "may" be better off with a single card today.

Triple like SLI is not officially supported yet, but with 2x780Ti works like a charm. SLI for one screen is imo overkill.
Playing any game at console with wheel is limiting capabilities of it.

Triples are supported... there is an option and configuration for the setup of triples, what they don't have yet is specific rendering per screen otherwise it works very well.
If SLI is working for you, that's great. All I was saying is that a single GTX 780 for me works pretty good even with triples (5816x1080).

PS4 will not meet PC players online.............there is no cross platform (unless it changed today).

;)

Really??? Lool, another bad news about this game... Well, by one side it's not a bad ideal afterall, this way you should avoid all those wreckers and kids that don't know anything about racing rules and behaviour on track...

I would personally say PC since it has the advantage of mods and the list of steering wheels on PS4 doesn't give you many choices.

I do not even own a PS4, but if I did I would still go to PC. For two reasons, primarily: Steam friends list and achievements. This is the most excited about a new racing game I have been in quite some time and I am hoping I can develop a decent-sized friends list on Steam of people to race with. I find managing friend lists on consoles to be a drag.
