F1 2017 Patch 1.4 discussion.

So, there was this 100MB patch out today. Some people at steam complain about stuttering audio (and noone's seen patchnotes yet, lol).

Do you guys have it, too?

Someone wrote, qualify practice program in career seems to be easier...

Yeah, patch notes been released ...

• The McLaren MP4/4 is now available for selection in Multiplayer modes for players with the Special Edition.
• Players will no longer be incorrectly disqualified from Multiplayer sessions.

Yeh there is a audio issue, it's effecting alot of people since the patch, atleast Codies are consistent with their patches..1 step forward 2 steps back..

Very weird, I hope it is a quick and easy fix. Amazing how all developers manage to fix one minor thing and mess up something major!

Just a thought, all my drives are SSD's what is everyone with issues running the game off?

SSD, but don't see what difference this would make as this was MP patch wasn't it.

Very weird, I hope it is a quick and easy fix. Amazing how all developers manage to fix one minor thing and mess up something major!

You would be amazed about the weird issues / bugs one suffers while developing software

It should not just throwing it out there, seems like a streaming/reading issue?

Well I've just been running a few laps for the last hour, and all of a sudden the glitch has vanished..

1.3: Game ran great with decent performance. (Stuttering was solved with CPUcores and disabling hyperthreading

1.4: Game crashes randomly, sound cuts in and out. Unplayable.

TL;DR. Codies being Codies and screwing things up with a patch.

1.4: I'm getting stuttering sound, it really is unplayable but time trial with MP4/6 is not affected. Otherwise, it is unplayable. Also stuttering video outside of MP4/6. There are a lot of people complaining about it on Steam.

I played for 4 hours last night online. The patch has sorted out the DSQ bug. Thank god

I didnt have any audio issues at all. Drove all sort of cars as well.

In the magical world of bugs and glitches this is pretty crazy.

A multiplayer patch that glitches the sound, that then proceeds to glitch the glitch by coming and going for no reason. Well played codies, well played.

Some guy found out that we should remove the line

<Mapping bank="environments" pool="f1_persistent" gamestate="Persistent" />

in file bank_memory_map.xml in folder ...\Steam\SteamApps\common\F1 2017\audio.

I did not try it yet, but it seems this works until a solution is found by codemasters. Make a backup of the file in any case!
