I seem to be pretty good at getting tires to overheat. Usually just one tire, just a car or a track here or there. When this happens to me I can't seem to find a way to eliminate or reduce it. What do you do when this happens to you?
In the front. try less camber and more caster, higher spring rates, and as a last resort, be smoother in braking. (I usually have to work on the opposite and brake as late as possible . You know we're the turtles.) In the touring car races with required pit stops you can live with it by changing the tires. That's why you see such extreme set-ups sometimes. For longer races, you need to get the temps under control.
